An enjoyable disassembly of a 21J Waltham Vanguard made in 1900 by a watchmaker in the Netherlands. Great microscope views of the quality of the parts - a bit grimy, the watch hadn't run in over 50 years. Best line at timestamp 59.45 was 'compared to this, Rolex is a tractor' The line at time stamp 55.30 is pretty good too.
I have an extensive collection (Rolexes, Omegas, etc…) but no Breguet yet. Magnificent timepieces + the brand’s history is second to none! One with a moonphase would make me very happy…
A follow up with the watch running - It was fun seeing a European sharing my point of view. I only wish he truly timed it in and showed the results:
they are amazing. I have two with moonphase. May actually trade one in on something different as my two are quite similar
That's great, enjoy in great health . What models do you have? Will go in May to the local Breguet store in Miami (I would rather purchase brand-new timepieces, like all the timepieces in my collection)
