Hi Steve. Pilot and kangaroo hold hands in 'paw-some' airport encounter - ABC News https://apple.news/A3cUeigZ0SlS8QMUY120cTQ
When Galarrwuy Yunupingu ran the rort, sorry, land council, out in Arnhem Land and was highly regarded for his negotiations with RIO and other mining companies- $700 million from RIO alone which he generously split with his own family and no one else. He had 2 Augusta Bell helicopters that the land council gave him to keep for private use. They were black of course.
Plenty of stories of abuse by Yunupingu ( same for Rio Tinto) but the $700m case wasn't decided until after his death, and is being challenged in court this year, so the final amount (if there ends up being one) has not even been decided, much less dispersed.
The $700 million is royalties paid over the years to Yunupingu on behalf of his people that was rorted - 13 faimilies were claimants, 1 got it all. The current matter relates to how the closure will be dealt with.
