With plans to do my own major service in the next year-ish, I've been shopping for a suitable tool to lift the car. I've been "teetering" between finding a used scissor lift or doing the proven (and well documented 2-jack method).

While browsing my local Marketplace, I came across this interesting product. It's a cordless drill powered lift which, in my mind, could possibly replace the 2-jack method. A reverse image search tells us that it's a KATOOL KT-M7700 but the info ends there. No detailed dimensioned drawings. The local seller says that it lifts 3300lbs to 50cm (20").

Using a cordless drill, you can run it up and down from either side. Jack-screws then pull the lower beams together and car goes up.

Besides confirming the width, The other real question seems to be whether it can be positioned BEHIND the car's center of gravity, while still leaving clear space under the engine cradle.

Does anyone with 2-jack experience have any thoughts on whether this would work?

I'm open to using a Quickjack if it truly works. I'd love confirmation on this, including the specific model that was used.

There’s a thread on here about quickjacks. I found it informative.

Agree I did a major with one. That one you show will not hit jack points. I got the Xl version. Use supplies blocks and you can remove an engine.

It will all depend on the max lift height. So long as it gets the rear of the car high enough to clear the shock towers (with the bumper off) you’re good.

I am really curious about the utility of the QuickJack to remove the engine and get it out from under the car.
I can't find any threads on the subject where people show what the clearance is like.

Hello i have the quickjack 7000 TL, easy to install and now, the new one it rises a little higher, its size adapts perfectly to the 911 and 355.

I assume you mean one of the extended length models.
Have you done a major service on the 355 with the Quickjack?

Also @Ferrarium, specifically, which model are you using? I don't see an "XL" but they have different flavours of LX.

if @Ferrarium managed to do it with on quickjack, knowing that his lifts lower than mine, I must be more successful in getting the motor out

Thank you, I looked up your thread. Were there any issues with the arc of the lift when it came to pulling the motor? Also, was it easy to put it back in?
I know you made a low profile engine stand to roll it but what castors did you use to roll it out from the car?

Well they change the model numbers but I suspect it maps to the 5000TL it adds an extra 3" lift. Few years back they had a 3000 which was just about the cars weight was not comfortable with that so I went the next one up.
