I've got my order in for the 296 GTB in CdF/Rosso FX but have been wondering if the Grigio Titanio would show off the lines better? I believe @Dino_Argento has the GT color and hopefully will chime in?

Also is choice to tire an issue? I've seen some cars for sale that have Pirelli on the sticker but Michelin on the personalization plate and the actual car, implying the owner specified preference for tire brand. Is this something that should be considered before finalizing the order? TIA

Grigio Titanio is much lighter than CdF. Shows the design details better. Though you don't have the same extreme contrast between Rosso FX for the interior in the way that CdF is darker.

Having owned both for various cars, Michelin are better and I was sure to specify Michelin for the orders.

Like the old joke, my experience with P-Zero is that the “zero” refers to the amount of grip you have until the tread is 120°.

No regrets about Grigio Titanio - it really shows off the lines of the curve given all the complex surfaces and matches the Matt corsa wheels… I also wanted a colour close to my silver Dino…. here are some pics from a shoot earlier today…

GT, lighter and a bit cooler
CdF, darker, and a bit warmer

Which one appeals more to you? Both are really nice colors

Tires, you can request one make or another, but in the end, they seem to put on what they have.

CdF is sharp, I’d personally take it over GT because it’s got some color. Almost a bronze hue to it in direct light.

You might want something lighter for thread or piping though if you’ve got a rosso interior, as noted that will make for a rather dark car. But some people like lower contrast.

As it’s looking on my iPad, Id say the CdF in those renders looks a little bit darker and a little bit bluer than it will look in real life.

cdf looks amazing. I'm a little nervous with Rosso interior but my SA assured me the FX is not as bright as it appears in the renders. I'll have to see the swatches in person, though he did send me a photo of it. The red in your car, though also very nice, would be hard to pull off for me.

The old Bordeaux of 2001 for the 550 seemed a more rich color compared to the current bordeaux offerings >

The new Bordeaux would seem a good way to tone down the interior color especially with Grigio Titanio offering less of a contrast between inside and outside than CdF does.

Seems Maison is a bit lighter than Bordeaux. Both are good choices if the FX turns out to be too bright for CdF exterior.

Maison and Bordeaux are virtually indistinguishable in terms of colour tone. The difference is the surface of the semi analine Maison has a textured grain whereas Bordeaux has a smooth finish.

I am privy to the fact that BMW UK equip their press M cars with Pirellis, as they are ultimately the quicker tyres over the Michelins that the company also offers. Some journos moan over that fact, because they are harder to warm up, especially in the rain (rain in the UK, what a shock!!!). So, I will have to disagree with you, as my experience also shows that the Pirellis offer superior grip, but are more temperamental (need more heat).

As always Iain sorts out the Ferrari nuanced details to perfection here!

I wonder what color combination he is considering for the F167...

Ive seen both several times, Maison is darker and has leather grain and is semi-analine. Bordeaux is a bit brighter, and yes, the smooth automotive grade leather.

Not the easiest to capture in a photo (please excuse quality/lighting etc) but in person to the human eye the colour difference is negligable and it is really the surface texture that differentiates the two leathers.

Do you know the price difference between the two? INTJ $3375 for Rosso FX as per my current config. Also, interesting you included the blue because I do see some blue as in grape skin blue in both of those! @isuk
