TCU firmware EDFD06F32 is for " 125ms" cars from " fr December 2007 production " mentioned avove post #10. I believe my HGTC is one of the first cars with this firmware since came out of the factory early December 2007. EDFD06F31 can be found from earlier TCUs.

Looks like that one has been reflashed from an earlier one by the factory. Interesting that it has F137OTO right on the new label.

I would love to get a copy of the EDFD06F32 firmware. Or more realistically get a copy to Eric and Trevor. Trevor used the firmware from my 575M HGTC TCU that Eric pulled to update other owners' 575Ms and make it compatible with vanilla Motronic ECUs. Would be interesting to see if the last 612 single disc clutch F1 software could be applied to other F133 engines, too, even with the difference between CFC231 and CFC301 hardware. Not so much the speed, but the updated start and smoothness.

If/When I send my ECUs to Trevor I could put a spare TCU ( EDFD06F32 ) to the package.

Here is a picture of my TCU. I'm sorry for the poor quality cell-phone pic. Some of the text has been blacked-out with a sharpie and it has hand-writtten text that says "MY06 612 Non GTC". I've always wondered about this TCU. Is there anyway to tell if it has been flashed or otherwise upgraded?

Can you see production date of the TCU ? If it's orginal one the date should be 1-2 months older thn your car when it came out of the factory.

    EDIT: Looks like it's: 075 06 , 06 is 2006

My spare one is : 2022008 . I know the car was one of the last cars before OTO and manufactured late March 2008.

My bad, guys: I have checked my friend's VIN: 157XXX. Then it was a 2007, not a 2009. The other european items I saw may be in the same situation: Interim 2007 version but registered in 2009 or 2010.
I always thought the Carrozzeria Scaglietti program was an option during the 2008-2010 period, which seems not to be the case.

Carrozzeria Scaglietti options were still available in 2008-2011 as part of the regular option list, just like they were from 2006-2008. HGT2, wheels, luggage, caliper color, etc.

Gentlemen, I can only say that the amount of knowledge here can sometimes be overwhelming and always humbling...hats off to you!

I just wanted to provide an update as I've had a chance to look over more 612s and I'm likely going to opt for a 575. I just don't want to forgo the 3-pedal experience and I find the 575 to be a better fit for the manual. It doesn't hurt that Terry agrees these conversions are holding value as I need to be smart about this decision just in case I need to sell. I don't know how likely it is to find one already converted (wish I was ready to make a move when the TDF/tan sold on BaT...my favorite color combo) but I'm already communicating with Robin Hastings for the kit, contacting CA shops for the conversion and researching HGTC retrofit kits in case I don't end up with AN 52556+ (I'd opt out of the HGTC brake upgrade).

This has so far been the longest car search I've embarked on but it feels right to be as close as possible to the 550 I originally wanted. I've read MANY threads on 550 v 575 and the thing I probably find most desirable about the 550 is it being all analog (and presumably less complicated = less things that can go wrong). It's time to focus on the things I like better about the 575 and hope to soon find one that sweeps me off my feet.

Cheers and I will certainly come back with updates.

I recently purchased a 2008 OTO HGT2, and I would like to get some feedback on:

    1. does it have a valved exhaust?
    2. Is the suspension supposed to adjust to the drive mode selected in the manettino?

I have been changing from comfort to sport mode and can’t feel any difference in suspension nor exhaust.

    2. The difference from comfort to sport in the suspension is not dramatic. The best test is to check the body roll while cornering. It will be noticeably flatter in sport. The comfort setting is not overly harsh, but it is certainly not soft either.

Tire pressure and profile will also affect ride quality.

The valves open at 3000RPM on mine, more than 3200RPM.
I can see very slight differences on the suspensions regarding the mode.

I just looked in the tailpipes, valve are open. I guess the issue is that they are not closing at all, went for a drive got back home left it in N idling and checked on them again and still open.

A good test is to cold start the engine: the valves should be opened for the 30 first seconds, and closed after. If it’s not the case, you probably have a control unit leaving them opened.

Many owners set up their exhausts so the valves are open all the time. On later Ferraris, the valves are fail open, so all that is necessary to do to have them open all the time is to remove the vacuum line from the bypass solenoid and plug it. Put her on a rack and let a tech trace the vacuum line from the accumulator and see if it is plugged and disconnected from the bypass solenoid.

575Ms were fail closed, so someone confirm my memory on 612s has not come adrift. If bad memory, will explain how 575s are set up for open valves all the time.
