1990 412, RHD. This one snuck up on me. Nice car, good price, late year, must have been one of the last. https://carsonline.bonhams.com/en/listings/ferrari/412i/abc221c9-86f8-42cc-86c6-6705835c6d99?utm_source=SFMC&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=BCO_UK_THURSDAY_200324_21032024&cid=9aec1a9f-c3ec-42f1-a600-b82111401960&fbclid=IwAR2H6aD0Z7HERKctCGxkgA0OF-aSu1CfoeZV78CiMc3vrZjoRUtk5NUmXOk
“A great deal was spent to bring it to concourse condition”……..but hey well just leave the rusty lug bolts.
Ha, yeah, and the leather needs a clean, which will be "a joy and a chance to start to bond with it". LOL.
Yes, I have it. Just joined the forum as a result. I look forward to bonding with it by cleaning the seats soon .
Excellent! Congratulations, and welcome! You have a fabulous car there! Adjusting for the exchange rate we spent about the same on our cars, but your mileage is remarkable. https://www.sanfranciscosportscars.com/used-vehicle-1986-ferrari-412-c-957/ I drive mine at least every day, have put about 5000 miles on in 2 years.
That looks a fabulous example. Enjoy! These are now a very rare sight here. I’ve just sold mine after 8 years of ownership, and not once in all that time did I ever chance across another, even with fairly regular trips to car shows, dealers, etc. In case you need someone for repairs/servicing, I used (and would recommend) Tom at Keys Motorsport, based at Silverstone.
According to my brief research, there are only 85 RHD cars, of which only 24 were manual. I have now driven it and it is fabulous! That is very useful, thanks. Does anyone know if the gear shaft spinning round and round is a known problem with the 412 (not just the knob)? I can see some chat here that it might be.
Yes only 24 manual RHD 412s. According to my records, 14 are in the UK, 4 in Australia, 2 in each of Ireland and Hong Kong and 1 in New Zealand. One RHD manual was destroyed in a fire.
All the sticks I've seen so far are rotating. Some rotate more freely than others though. There was a discussion on the subject (bushings?)
Thanks, David. Is there some database where all this is known, or do you just know a LOT about the 412 series?
