I lowkey hope the car look close to your renders. But aren't the tail lights built as a strip like on the SF90 XX?
If Ferrari wanted to do that. They would Make An Exotic model every 5 - 7 years with no rules in a Bug price range for 99 - 199 buyers
As far as I remember, I hadn't seen any picture of the paneled mule leaving through the old factory gate. This picture was taken yesterday when there were just two days left until the F167 is revealed. This passage under the arch of the old Ferrari factory gate associated with all the secrecy surrounding the F167, for the most superstitious could be a sign that this new model will be something truly exceptional. The latest by tomorrow we will begin to understand whether this time Flavio Manzoni was brilliant again or not. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's a Mercedes Benz motor, and they are actively making customized engines for AM and Pagani and probably others
Sooo... Anyone got any more infos or we have to wait for tomorrow? By the way at what time will the car be revealed?
The secret seems to be really well kept (I hope for a teaser on social media today). Ferrari will surely give details of the unveiling today.
It is, for me it’s his best work only, not back to his brilliant best, nothing before this laid claim to any brilliance. I said in an earlier post, chapo to Manzoni this time.. Deserves the acclaim.
Cosworth's V12s are custom built for specific projects, with very limited numbers produced. That 's a different business model. If Ferrari were to develop a new V12, it would have to make sure that it fits its own business model. The AM V12s have nothing to do with MB. Paganis indeed use MB AMG engines. A new Ferrari V12 engine, that would be a dream, but it depends on their business strategy. Vigna though has pointed out that they will keep the V12 alive as long as the regulations allow that (which might be forever with the advent of e-fuels), but this might mean a further evolution of the F140 and not a totally new design.
Nah, I just love it. Couldn’t get one because I didn’t own a Monza but still love it. It looks even better after a few years of familiarity. I saw one up close in the TM facility at Maranello and was able to pore over it, sit in it etc. Feels compelling enough to wonder how anyone with petrol in their veins could dislike it. It just looks beautiful, wonderful, inspiring, aggressive. Choose your (positive) adjective really.
You want a twin turbo V12? Prefer a hybrid n/a if they are going to do anything to it. I think I’d rather have no V12 than a twin turbo one. I do like turbo cars but somehow, the V12 with all that creamy torque anyway, just doesn’t seem right to put turbos on. Suits the V8 much better.
Here is my research, please share yours: https://www.mercedes-amg.com/en/home/stories/amg-engines-at-other-manufacturers.html https://www.hotcars.com/6-cars-powered-by-amg-engines-and-theyre-not-from-mercedes/ https://competitiveanalytics.com/2032-automobile-forecast Mercedes-Benz Group AG. Based in Stuttgart, Germany, Mercedes-Benz Group AG makes premium passenger vehicles and commercial vans. Brands include Mercedes-Benz, AMG, and Maybach. Mercedes-Benz Mobility provides the company's dealers and its customers with vehicle financing as well as mobility services in ride-hailing, car sharing and charging. Mercedes owns 11.9% of Aston Martin and 9.6% of Beijing Automotive Group. Li Shufu, chairman of Chinese automaker Geely Automobile, owns 9.7% of Mercedes-Benz. Other major shareholders include Kuwait Investment Authority at 6.8% and Beijing Automotive group at 5.0%. --- and, from today: https://www.autoweek.com/news/a60642199/aston-martin-v12-engine-coming-for-new-flagship/ Aston Martin has announced “a fearsome new V12” that will power an as-yet-unnamed new flagship model coming later this year. The new 12-cylinder gets a strengthened block and connecting rods, redesigned cylinder heads with re-profiled camshafts, and new intake and exhaust ports. Further optimizing combustion are repositioned spark plugs and new higher flow-rate fuel injectors “to deliver optimized combustion.” Higher speed, reduced-inertia turbochargers also deliver increased performance and throttle response, Aston says. Aston Martin did not say whether the powerplant shares anything with a previous V12 from AMG. We asked both Aston Martin and AMG if they collaborated on the new V12, or if Aston Martin developed it entirely in-house, but neither company would say. AMG was the source of Aston Martin drivetrains after an engine deal was signed between the two power (and torque) brokers in 2013 (...) And then if you compare to the Pagani Utopia output: 864 bhp & 1100 Nm torque, this "new" Aston Martin engine output of 823 bhp and 1,000Nm sounds suspiciously like a slight detuned version of what Pagani uses and given MB's 11%+ ownership in AM it makes complete sense this is the same AMG motor...and that will be further confirmed once AM releases details of its block size...probably 6.0L just like the Pagani
Absolute incompetence of "journalists". V8's in Astons - AMG, but 5.2 V12 their own. Aston Martin DB11 - Wikipedia
so, you believe that AM took that 5.2L V12 AE31 twin-turbo motor of the DB11, which had 608 PS and 700nm (torque) and raised it to 835 PS and 1000nm with only small modifications (listed in the press release, linked below) You do realize the "new" AM V12 has nearly identical output of the AMG 6L used in the Pagani? I think there is a reason today's AM press release does not indicate the block size because it would be all too obvious that it is, in fact, the AMG motor de-tuned: https://www.astonmartin.com/en-us/our-world/news/2024/5/1/the-dawn-of-a-new-v12-era
Are we talking about Aston Martin—F1 ‘constructor’ that gets engines supplied by other car companies—in a thread about a new Ferrari?
Aston Martin AE31 engine (5.2 V12, 447 kW) (aston-martin-club.com) - add to my previos post. Friends, sorry for the off-topic. like everyone here, I can't wait for the premiere of the new Ferrari and I have great hope that they will change their plans for the future and build a new fantastic V12 engine. after all, this is the heart of the company, isn't it?
Manzoni undoubtedly the hardest job in the automotive industry. Is there another brand with as much scrutiny on beauty than Ferrari? Not to mention the sheer weight of history the design must live up to. I find his designs look better the more you look at them, which is a good sign for his legacy.
