Even this is a huge improvement. Now let’s see it without the wrap around light bar and with a mild change to the side vent to not look like a Korean, and I bet you’ve nearly got a good if not slightly plain design
For me implementing partial designs from classic models is always a mistake. You are creating something new, so make it unique. Nobody turned to the history when creating the 250GTO, Testarossa, 250 California, F40, 308 or even the 458 (except the tailpipes). So what is the point of this? And also as mentioned above - to implement the front of the Daytona, which was never one of the prettiest models is definitely not a good idea. And I also agree, that Manzoni is not the right person for that particular brand.
Completely agree. Ferrari should have gone with something original, rather than copying an old design just to milk revenue.
The entire point of the car is to be a heritage car with a V12. There is literally no other reason to build the car. If you want something original take a look at some of the other cars in the line like the SF90.
This is pininfarina. It's more Ferrari than Ferrari of today. I know one is apple and one an orange. But still. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Does anybody else feel this will be the last unassisted V12? Why name it the way it is unless it’s the last homage to the V12. The engine is the same as the 812 comp, same as F8 was the last ICE V8 and is the same as the Pista. I love it and hate it. We were lead by some to believe this is so much better than the 812, but that credibility has been lost[emoji23]
Better, but still meh and thus an epic failure. Now it is just the least ugly Ferrari. Not bad for a $300k speccd car. Perhaps they need to put in a V8 and make it the base model and go back to the drawing board for the ultimate V12. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Sorry if this is too much to ask but could you also please remove the bonnet shut line and the headlights (not the DRLs). I'm very curious how it will look if the bonnet extended all the way to the end.
I personally love the design. Very smoth and the body looks like it's made as if from a single source. Not as rugged as the 812. The front looks a bit Japanese but glady hasn't the ugly shaped front lights like the 812. And overall I didn't expect a 812 successor with a design which is inspired from a modell from the past. The 12C could also be sold as the fourth icona modell (SP4 ...).
I am not exactly overwhelmed with the look off this car, so much hype before the launch, perhaps its just anticlimactic at this point. I guess I need to see this in person because right now I can't say I love the looks.
It’s modernized enough. All those haunches and bulges are always more impressive in person. I’ll take a retro look over the hyper futuristic
Well, the F40 is a souped-up 288 Evoluzione, that is a souped-up 288 GTO, that is a souped-up 308, that is a mash-up of Dino and Berlinetta Boxer. Everybody copies. The trick is doing it without being evident.
