Need opinion

I currently own a Rosa Corsa, Nero specific design seats with red leather inserts GTB. I am in the process of configuring my upcoming GTS. After several agonizing days, I decided to stick with Rosa Corsa with bi-color for the exterior. Just to mix things up, I decided to order Cuiou Carbon Racing seats with red leather insert. The questions I have for all of you is, 1) my SA, older than me, I am in mid 50’s, says Carbon Seats are not comfortable for over 30minute drives. To me the Carbon seats look sporty and sexy, and I don’t suffer from any back issues. If you currently own / use a 296 with Carbon Racing seats and are in your mid fifties, please share your opinion, 2) what do you guys think of a Cuiou seats with red inserts and red contrast stitching on a Rossa Corsa GTS (vis-a-vis Nero Carbon or specific design seats with red inserts)?

I sat in Carbon seats and didn’t care for them, but that’s really a personal thing. My SA was pushing them.

I love Couio or Beige Tradizione with red and red leather accents. It will be sharp.

 

I just purchased a new 296 GTB that someone did not take….and it was not my exact spec…it has carbon fiber racing seats! It arrived this past week and I’ve driven it twice for an hour each time and am really surprised at the comfort….not as comfortable as my Daytona seats in my previous F8…but they are not harsh. One thing is that they dont have any adjustment except forward/backward. I’ve built my GTS and chose Daytona seats….I just figured to get a new 296 I would learn to live with them until my GTS arrives….And I’m in my 60s…

Couio with red is my favorite interior leather color…

 

Prior to my 296GTB arriving I was loaned a GTB with the regular seats. I did two long 400+ mile drives in it. I found the seats to be really uncomfortable, having to stop due to a numb leg and backside several times.

I have the carbon seats in 3 of my F cars and they are the most comfortable seats of all my cars. More so even than my Range Rover.

Each to his own and I guess body shape and size would make a difference but for me, for comfort, it's carbon seats.

Had 3 recent Ferraris with the Carbon Racing seats. Personally, I loved them and ordered them in my incongruous 296 Spider.
Order what you're comfortable sitting in. The car is too expensive to do otherwise. But saying the racing seats are uncomfortable is not an accurate statement as far as I'm concerned. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

 

I changed my mind when I drove an SF90 spider with racing carbon seats; I was surprised how comfortable and snug it felt. That’s when I decided to change my config. Your above post gives me the confidence to go thru with it. Thank you.

I'm looking at used 296s and most seem to be spec'd with Large carbons. I did try the medium and found it to be snug around the shoulders, I'm 6' and 175lbs, are the Larges big enough?

Yes, the Lg should accommodate most body types, but certainly not all.
The old, "one size fits none, applies!"

 

Yes. The carbon seats come in several sizes.

 

I'm pretty sure its M, L and XL

 

on my spec it says "M" but my SA said it's actually large. Some carbon seats from cars for sale in the midwest are XL. Large size is probably a better choice if resale is a consideration.

 

When I first got the car I thought they were quite firm especially compared to Porsche racing buckets but after a while I’ve got used to them and I think they are very supportive and most importantly make the car - especially in the GTS versions where they are exposed with the top down. Such a cool design.. I see the launch cars for the new V12 Spyder also had them… I would definitely make sure to get the lifter as well - if not for yourself maybe for a future owner..:

Beautiful seat color. Is it ciocolotto? BTW, your passenger seat is also same color; right? In your pictures it looks like Nero passenger seats.
