Dude is a train wreck on the track. Four penalties in one weekend in Miami. Is that a F1 record? New Haas team principal should bring up a reserve and punt ole Kevin.

Because Gene Haas is too cheap to buyout his contract. But at the same time, the rules encourage this behavior. By getting a ten second penalty for cutting the chicane and not getting a meaningful benefit meant his race was over so he had nothing to lose at that point to try and hold everyone back to help hulk pull away. The only meaningful sanction is the penalty points.

I respect Haas for not spending for a buyout. But put his arse on the sideline and pay a scrub minimum to show his stuff. Would be a positive and bold move for Steiner’s replacement.

Get Bearman in the seat immediately. Magnussen needs to be shown the door.

But his most egregious penalty-be-damned driving in the past few races was under team orders to block for Hulkenberg.

Magnussen was over the line this weekend but it's funny how media influence a riot against someone. He drove Lewis off the track and was flashed with penalties. However Lewis does the same and it's considered okay? He earned the right to space and Logan simply drove into him and he was again flashed with a penalty.

Magnussen my not have been Mr Perfect this weekend, but 4 penalties are a joke from the Stewards.

I understand the frustration of some about the uneven penalties handed out to some (and not to others) but regarding Magnussen, this is not about this weekend alone—you can bet the guy will pretty much have at least one wing-crunching incident at every single race. I don’t know how he’s still allowed to race or why the team keep him.

While Stroll is just incompetent or distracted, this guy is just hell bent on clashing needlessly with anyone he’s racing with—to the detriment of both his and the other guy’s results. Just really senseless behaviour.

I remember reading that he is the least-liked driver by his peers for precisely these reasons. He is not a clean driver at all.

Even if you are correct (not saying I agree), all you have to do is look at his entire body of work. Surprised he’s been in F1 this long.

Maybe I need to watch more, but I don't recall Magnussen being a wrecking ball all the time. At least not since coming back a few years ago. I vow to pay closer attention.

KMag needs to take a break. Too hotheaded in races.

This. It was clear on Saturday that he had major red mist flowing. As a racer, I know that this is when a driver becomes a danger to himself and others. He was over the top last weekend.

Look, I have no love for KMag, but was it red mist or team orders?

Once again, in these last two egregious cases, he was told by the team to do everything to protect Hulkenberg, no?

any one who brings poetic justice to an entitled wanker like lewee the new Stroll, who takes out people at the start but gets another free ride from the useless stewards who have been told never ever penalise lewee, is worth his weight in gold.

He was honest about doing it for the team in post race, he wasn’t super happy about it, and even Lewis seemed to respect him afterwards because of his honesty. Despite the outrage he was tough but crossing the line seemed minimal in terms of driving standards, certainly not Maldonado or Stroll spec levels. His driving wasn’t crazy like Perez into the first corner…

Magnussen is usually a solid journeyman for Haas. The car is far from being top anyway.
