Uh there’s a thing called perspective. If you walk 8 steps away from the car and look at the front. It will look like this picture.

As much as I’m trying wrap my head around what I like about the 12cilindri, I actually find the spider less appealing in pictures.
That basically looks like the purosangue.

But the majority of orders will go down as this.

Phone calls to the dealer from a few month prior to 'all sold out' shortly after release. The first are flippers looking to make cash. The second group are the quantity buyers that return it to the dealer for the next one in a death spiral to get a VS.

The next group are the ones that just have to have the next new shiny model. They will 'lose' the most as they really don't have a plan.

The third group are the keepers that just love the brand and the design and performance of the particular car. They are the enthusiasts but buy the least and are therefore not of great concern to the OEM that desires to sell record numbers for shareholders.

    To steer controversy :)
I like it way more than a GTO( Not saying it is better car, but the is way prettier and elegant in my humble opinion)

The “they’re already all sold” gambit only works when the car is ACTUALLY desirable and a healthy number of people ACTUALLY want it. Recent regular production examples are the 296 GTS and the Purosangue. If you didn’t raise your hand for one early, you didn’t get one.

I don’t think that happens here. I think first 1,000 build slots will go without much effort because Ferrari has enough buyers who want to build their VIP status, but after that, I think the ‘new model’ excitement and flash demand wears off rather quickly and customers who hadn’t even put down an unsolicited deposit will start getting calls from their local sales associate asking them if they want ‘one of the last few allocations their dealer is going to be getting.’ I think this car will sell a fair amount LESS than the F12 or 812.

Because this is simply not a car that is a exciting people or capturing their imagination. This is a car that people are having to talk themselves into. And that’s a shame. Despite d355 assurance that EVERYONE would love this car, I think for most potential buyers their reaction is WTF? Or … THIS is what all the hype and anticipation was about?!

I don't think so. Many usual posters are quite. That's because they are busy ringing the dealer to secure an order. People have cash. The 'last of' moniker has been used hard for over a decade and this one is especially hyped by the OEM. They will sell every one as usual even if it takes a while and you will need a stethoscope to hear the engine.

I disagree. I don’t think buyers are ringing up their dealerships. I think they’re avoiding them. Ferrari is making a big mistake if they continue to believe that their buyers want ‘restrained elegance.’ No. That’s what Aston Martin buyers want. The vocal punters crying for elegance are the older buyers. Fine. Build them Romas to placate them and stop their wingeing on social media. Ferrari needs to watch out here. There is a reason the Roma is the cheapest car they make. Ferrari needs to open their eyes and realize that It’s the more dynamic, race inspired and exciting designs that the Ferrrari buyer clamors for. They better remember that or they are going to face serious sales headwinds and declining sales and falling profits.

Whether you love it or hate it. It’s more for the actual buyers to decide!

What boggles my mind is opinions from people who owned ZERO Ferraris and yet they have an opinion and a free one which tells it worth!

Now that we know the 12 Cilindri coupé and spider, comparing them with the latest mules shows us how successful Ferrari was in the art of concealment.
Looking at the pictures below of the front and side views, what it seems to me is that both Engineer and Ohno managed to decipher most of the enigma and so I think we are all very grateful to them for the way they explained it to us through drawings and words.
Perhaps the big surprise was the rear part of the 12 C as seen below in the picture with this view. It seems to me that no one was able to guess the existence of that futuristic delta and the shape of the rear window.
I already wrote what is my first impression of the 12 C in post # 364. All I can do now is let some time pass and the dust settle before I can give any other opinion about the new car.:)

    Of course!! It is obvious.

Both have headlights, a windscreen, grills for radiator and you can see the front tires! The subtle details such as four wheels, and engine with transmission are where the genius comparisons happens. Not everyone is capable of picking out those similarities.

    LOL

I keep seeing an Ionic5 on the front and rear of the coupe version. That blacked out area and rear geometric design and block like area. Wish I didn’t.

I think this is the fun part...I absolutely love the front, but the back I struggle with, if it had quad round taillights I probably like it better. I really just don't like the squinty rear tails on any Ferrari
