Thank you for this. Clearly the F12 Berlinetta is a piece of art and hopefully we will see one at MOMA in NYC one day. Marcel Massini
That bottom pic reminds me how much I hated Hot Wheels in the 60s. Obviously, Manzoni who is my contemporary liked them. Shame.
The only nice thing about the new wheels is they dont look undersized for the fender openings Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Bloody hell, I disappear for a few days and you madmen add 100 pages to the thread! I like it, not 100% but likely will get a coupe. Will decide after seeing it in the flesh in Maranello in a few weeks time.
Too much happening low down—too busy and too much black trim—completely diminishes the impact made by the the black ‘Daytona’ band between lights.
Thanks for the excellent set of pictures! I would also like to use these images as a reference to correct some common misconceptions about Ferrari 12 Cilindri: 1) SIZE: It is not really a larger car than 812 SF. Length has increased, but only in the center section. I would argue that it is actually a shorter car than 812 where it really matters, i.e. diagonally from left front corner to rear right corner. The only clear size increase is in height (16 mm) and this is mostly a mandated result of increasing wheel sizes from 20" to 21". - Front track: +14 mm - Rear track: +0 mm - Width: +? mm (not known, mirror-to-mirror figure available only) - Length: +76 mm - Height: +16 mm - Wheelbase -20 mm 2) FAKE WINDOWS behind main side windows: These are not actually fake windows. There are real windows but those are smaller in size than in previous models. These are almost impossible to detect from the outside due to black color, but certainly visible in the interior.
Well, buy yourself an Astom Martin with an "innovative" engine/navigation system from Mercedes, what is the problem and what do you want from Ferrari? Expensive? Buy yourself a Lotus.
IMO 12 Cilindri is the best design since the original Daytona. It has the best engine and driving dynamics in its class of big front engine GT's by a good margin. But Ferrari did not provide us with the usual big step over it's predecessor. The tech spec compared to the 812 is not that big of a leap IMO - Still excited to get one
Anybody drive one and report on it yet? Until we get those we know nothing about it’s dynamic side other than what the factory which is truly unbiased (on a good day) provides Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
The engine is about as far as Ferrari are willing to take it without a whole redesign or adding a lot of exotic materials. Ferrari refuse to make their "standard" model lines from carbon, so the weight is never going to change by much, especially when they keep adding more safety and tech.
Yeah, I'm looking at coupe. Black and yellow everywhere is a winning combination... I only got the idea to try from the photos of the launch I think one was in yellow.
