458 Headers question for 458

I don’t have them but have seen a couple that do. Will make the car loud, very loud, even at idle. My Indy told me it’ll increase power more than a catback.

Header geometry and pipe sizing will change the sound in a variety of ways. It can increase exhaust flow which therefore would increase performance. They are going to weigh less than any cast manifold, so you’ll get a small amount of weight savings if the 458 has cast manifolds. Think of headers like brass instruments. As you change the way and volume flows through a horn, it’ll change its sound characteristics.

If you’re trying to squeeze every last ounce of performance from a naturally aspirated platform, this would certainly be a good mod. You’re not going to have big HP gains, but you should see some gains with a tune in conjunction with other mods. Just make sure you get a header that performs, not just sounds good.

The 458 has SS tubular manifolds (basically headers) from factory, correct? No cast manifolds.
