I think thats Blu Roma So at first I didn't like the new design at all, now that Ive watched more videos and seen more pictures, I really do like it. I think you described the two cars very well, well said LukeyLikey. I actually think I slightly prefer the coupe as I think it better integrates the rear graphic, but I would probably go for the spider for the greater versatility.
I'm normally a coupe person but everyone seemed to universally prefer the 812 GTS over the Superfast, so I feel like the spider is the right way to go on the 12c. I'm torn on colors as I can see a number that would look good on this thing. Blu corsa, blu stephanie, bianco artico, sanu silver, rosso TRS and verde toscana are all in the running at this point. It's still a big car so I feel like a darker color may be a better idea. Not sure if I'll do atelier/TM or a normal build for this one, waiting to hear about appointment availability.
My thing with this spider is you lose a drastic design element of the car. If I keep my 812GTS, I may go coupe. Top down v12 is incredible, but the fact that they have made it louder in the cockpit helps and keeping the rigidity is nice.
When I saw the leaked photos my heart sank, but now I love it. All of it. Tough choice in which one to get. I agree with you.
I had the same impressions, but when I saw the lines better I fell in love with it, and also, many lines they don't make justice from the Miami presentation with all those lights.
My call is that Spider is the one to have: GTS being the more desirable 812, and still nearly double the coupe prices; F60 was the only F12 barchetta and is now like 20x more expensive; the 599SA is 10x the price of a normal 599 now; SuperAmericas are more than double (even triple?) a 575; and 550 Barchettas are 3-4x the price of a Maranello.
Thats very -uh- pardon the pun- sound logic but I think @Lagunae92 makes a great point about the greater sound in the cabin. And then you do have the rigidity. Just because the 812 GTS is seen as more desirable doesnt mean the coupe isn't the better choice for you. The delta between these two might not be as big. Firstly the coupe starts closer to the spider in price. Secondly, I think they made some tweaks from the SF to the GTS that make the 812 GTS a touch more pleasant for more people. It seems to be just a touch less wanting to be a hypercar in a GT shape than the Supferfast.
Therein lies the struggle. Do I think the coupe is the better looking, more interesting vehicle? Yes. Historically the spiders have always done better. Perhaps they will be more limited than the coupe this time??? The only real comparison is 812SF and GTS, as the others were all limited. The pano roof with a dark interior is calling my name. Who knows what to do?!
It depends if one wants a car as a driving machine or an investment. In Europe a used 812 GTS is approximately priced 50% more than a 812 Superfast (so the ratio is more like 1.5 than 2); as already mentioned, for other models, the rarity is what makes the prices far higher. It somehow confirms my feeling that Ferrari buyers are more (and more) collectors, rather than drivers.
What to do- IMHO- * Its worth weighing the financial side of things; but * Ultimate priority should be what does your heart say
I agree that inside cabin acoustics I'm assuming are a lot better this round, but given that I've never owned a convertible V12 I might as well start here. My hope is I'll have a shot at an eventual VS of the 12c, and if so I don't think I'll be lucky enough to get an Aperta allocation, so that would fulfill the coupe desire. Worst case I just buy a 12c coupe later on if nothing else pans out.

I'm into rosso Magma myself, also thinking to go for the rosso Imola or my "old friend" rosso Fuoco. I'm really undecided
100%. After our TM visit to Maranello, we were asked if we wished to change to a Pista Spider from the Coupe. Maybe a financially dumb decision, but we kept wanted to retain the visible engine so we kept the coupe.
The car is fantastic in person, photos, as usual, do not let you fully understand the design like you can while viewing the car in person. I WAS COMPLETELY impressed. they cars feel like SP Ferrari's in person, not like regular production cars. The coupe is better then the spider, finally a glass roof which makes the interior special. I highly recommend you wait until you see the cars in person, they are fantastic. How does comparing LE to non-LE bear any significance on spider or coup? Can you get any more limited than an F60 in a modern Ferrari? Spiders do cost more than coups but you pay more when new also.
