emergency service you can’t take a full fuel load. I think you can only take 5 or 10 seconds of fuel

the rules is dumb? red flag nobody can refuel but can change tires and those lucky one pit before the incident suddenly found themself a min in front because they got lucky

    I agree.

Ferrari - Win under an unfortunate Red Flag

Porsche - What Red Flag ?

    not really

changing tires was a safety thing due to debris on track

emergency service (refueling) means you lose track position

those who had already pitted weren't "lucky"...they were planning strategy for end of 6 hours.

race being allowed to play to full distance, and strategies being left intact, is the most fair way to do this.

are you telling me that the 2 porsche deserve to be at the front a min over everyone else and its not luck because they pit just not long before the incident

    this is absurd lol

if they would have been 1 minute out front without the red flag, then what's the problem?

    looks like they're pitting anyway

how hard it is have the rules that everyone can refuel and change tires then restart

isnt it just fair for everyone instead of "luck"

It seems that people cannot accept the hazards of an endurance race, but want their favourite team to win at all cost.

If Ferrary doesn't win, it's always because of a conspiracy, favouritism or bias rules.

driver of the day (to me at least) is Julian Andlauer, who made at least three passes for position in Eau Rouge

good race. glad WEC let the race play out instead of the red ruining the show.

    LM24 up next!

I can accept the hazards of an endurance race.....but putting time BACK on the clock? What sense does that make. You think that is in the spirit of the sport?

If thats the case we should put time back on the clock for every other sport.

I think the officials acted correctly in this case. They suspended the race to repair the track because of an accident.

Then they let it run its course when it resumed. Pefect scenario in my opinion.

I really don't see what people are grumbing about.

nobody have issue adding back time to the race but the issue is that why they can change tires but not refuel..whats the logic behind this

everyone race fair and square but 2 cars lucked in..how does this even make sense

Tyre changes are allowed under Red Flag for safety reason, because some cars may have run over carbon fiber debris and incurred slow punctures.
But allowing refuelling after Red Flag would mean the officials interfering with the teams fuel strategy.
Those who didn't refuel before the Red Flag had obviously chosen a different strategy than those who already had.
Everything is a risk in endurance, and teams should accept their strategy can backfire in case of hazards (incident for you ;)) and assume the consequences. It's like a wrong tyre choice.
So far, I haven't heard of any team appealing against the officials decisions at Spa: they know the rules !!

tire change didn’t help Jota or Penske because they just did a service anyway

tire change didn’t help Ferrari because they were about to pit

maybe it helped a team that was in the middle of a fuel stint? I don’t think that made a material difference though
