    is the exhaust tip kit mandatory when getting the exhaust?- also- since pretty much 100% of everyone needs to avoid CELs why is the tectronic a separate line item?

    Tips are not mandatory, they are just sold as an option :) As for the Techtronic, it has always been this way throughout Novitec's product line. Some folks opt to take care of the CEL in other ways. Some choose to utilize a full ECU tune etc.

    Would could be an installer for the Novitec 296 exhaust in the CA bay area? Is it doable to DIY swap the original exhaust before service (in order to avoid voiding warranty)? If not, how much is a swap service approximately?
