I typically don't drive my 296 GTB during weekdays. When it's parked, I plug it in, just as the car requests. However, I pass by it every day to pick up my daily driver. Regularly I notice the passenger screen is 'half on': the screen is empty but the backlight is on. I sometimes also notice other leds. Is this normal? The car is locked and I'm not near it with the key. I do have keyless entry on other cars. It didn't cause any issues, but I wonder why it sometimes does this.
I always keep it plugged in if no drive is planned .. Could it be related to the bad wifi connection in my garage or something? Maybe the car wants to send an update somewhere (for use in the MyFerrari app) and it can't reach those servers?
If you are driving it at weekends no need, unlike the previous non Hybrid, to keep it plugged in as the Hybrid battery will keep the 12v topped up. If you use the Ferrari App you can check the Hybrid & 12v battery levels, eg I drove on Saturday and the car says the Hybrid is at 98% and 12v is at 12.8v. What I do is drive in Qualifying mode for the last part of my journey which charges the Hybrid battery up which you can see on the dash. In regards to leaving the car plugged in see my posts about a power cut killing the Hybrid battery https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/so-charging-a-296-lets-discuss.663044/page-2#post-149609849
I don't drive it every weekend either .. so I prefer to keep it plugged in all the time. This seems to be the consensus. I haven't experienced a power cut in my house, but I'll keep your suggestion in the back of my head. I'm going to watch the backlight more closely and if needed contact the dealer.
You may not have the keys on you, but are they somewhere close-ish to it like in a basket near the front door where the signal can still hit the car?
