Echoing what many have said. If you want top dollar, this car screams BAT.

Perhaps, and perhaps BAT won’t take it unless he does a no reserve auction . In which case, it’s quite possible that the car would sell for under $10,000.

Yes I don’t disagree. But he probably needs eye balls on this thing. Unfortunately for him, it probably isn’t worth much.

Look at the pictures of the car. The windows are actually large enough you can see out side of the car. Doesn’t need a back up camera because you can actually see out the back of the car.

I think it breaks 10 on BAT, but not 20. C&B might take it with a reserve; BAT I doubt it. BAT had two mothballed B13 SE-R’s with basically delivery miles - one squeezed past 20, one broke 30. But this car is not that. Similar standing for the marque and size of the buyer pool, but certainly a less significant model. I can’t see how this gets over 20 knowing the alternatives out there. 59k miles is still 59k miles.

I'm down to $18,000 now. How low will I go? Time may tell.

My first car ever was a 1979 626 coupe - dark blue. What a car it was.

Well, I finally submitted this car to BAT a few weeks ago, and they said the only way they would list it was with no reserve. I'm a little concerned about doing an auction with no reserve, but I have a feeling I could still do ok. However for now I'll lower the price to $15,000 in case someone is interested.

OK now we’ll find out. As I stated in my post that you quoted, and replied to, I don’t think it breaks 10, but we shall see.

The irony here may be we have moved significantly in markets since 2022 when this was posted. For the sellers sake I hope it brings top dollar, but my guess would be 2022 would’ve brought $5K more on BaT than what we’ll see it sell for here in 2024.

Your point is not without some merit; however, at no time and in no place, that I’m aware of, was this car worth more than $10,000. IMO

    Am I reading that right . . . current bid is $2,079?

    A long fall from $36K.

4 days out, though, lots can happen. Even if it was $2079 with 4 hours to go, most of the action happens in the last few minutes (but yeah, I'd be more concerned if it was 4 hours out).

I do think this is a super cool car. When I was a kid my dad had a red 323 (probably 1980-ish model year) that he liked a lot, and I loved riding in it. Can still smell the vinyl interior.

No idea what its realistic value is, but I hope the seller makes out OK.

Auction is closing in a few hours, current bid is only $6000. This could end up being a bargain for someone. Hoping for a lot of last minute action.

You were helped a lot by that one guy who came out of nowhere and apparently just registered to bid on your car.

That's way too cheap, hope the auction picks up. I would've paid that for it in 2022!!

If you would have started here at $9,999 you MIGHT have sold it by now.
    Or even just $9,000

Can I judge 'em or what? I proposed the price be $9k so many months ago and it just sold for $8800.

That's still a lot for what to me appears to be a rather droll form of transportation. If I gave that car to my daughter, she would cry.
