My working harness. (I have to install the GPS antenna in order for the maps to work.) Image Unavailable, Please Login
OMG, you’re absolutely right. I just went to check mine. I could have sworn there was a hole left there, but the nub is still in there. So much for me providing good advice on here. Thank you for your correction on this. Hopefully I didn’t lead someone to damage their unit.
Ok so what's the adapter to buy? Haven't moved my F430 off the rack yet. *Rubs 6105 nub for good luck*
Should be this one: https://www.amazon.com/RED-WOLF-Connector-Aftermarket-Replacement/dp/B09CYX2SM2/ref=sr_1_6?crid=1VUR28TJU6YOM&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.OIIubSqcY5C-d0ZUFwba80i-tpop6QsMJXwCwrDpDkZ7l3VXc5FE1p4z5VSVhf3ikDS6NjDsZI7zIImosZ97vpLLGdwBRv7opndTGk0KFEPvS644bKV1qmUmDxnv90PZG26RwwyYiwAajfrQYPdoovhMA4IaRW13HHpPc3imBYISAMes9MIpM53mBmshc6rqom66tb4NyqSfna4Vpsnx88pEAMp4at2E_7hrPDsJcEE.-ryGOq5Jxpsp2I1YoXuoWgIxaiCW3oSRZrN1Zrx9TXY&dib_tag=se&keywords=becker+antenna+adapter&qid=1716090266&sprefix=becker+antennae+adapt%2Caps%2C156&sr=8-6 European plug on the back with US on the front
Thanks. This darn radio has triggered an all out arms race in my garage. I need every car now to have similar level of Carplay/Speakers+quality amps/etc. Before I didn't really care. This car has engine music etc. This car just sucks so whatever. Now that this deck is so cheap there is no excuse.
I'm curious, has anyone figured out how to replace the startup screen on the CP-71 yet? Figure it's android, so some one has hacked it.
Just triple checking to make sure - so if I have the Bose system I don't need to solder anything at all?
You’ll have to solder the harness that comes with the CP-71 to the harness in the links above. You’re joining two generic harnesses together - one that fits the CP-71 and one that fits the plug for the stock harness in the car. look at wtam608’s post above (post #251).
What Jeremy said, You need to solder (or use one of those solderless connectors) to join the two harnesses together.
Ok. I ordered one of the CP-71 radios from Walmart. Since no one figured out the startup logo yet I think I will not install it in the car but hook it up to a bench supply and see if I can hack it. Might not get to it for a couple of weeks because of how busy I am at work. Wish me luck. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Hi guys does anybody have this on a 360? I assume it's similar as the 430 for the install...or am I missing it? Also any pics on how it looks on the 360? Since the car is a bit more....dated in the interior?
I uploaded pics of mine on Page 5 (https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/new-contender-for-single-din-carplay.691443/page-5)
Def keep us posted with how you go - I'd def be in on the action to compensate you for your efforts to get the same in mine!
Very cool, thank you! For the harness what did you use? My car has the CD changer... Do any of these units support a CD changer or does it just become a door stop?
CD Changer is no longer used (actually, i ditched that a while ago for a bluetooth module on the Becker deck). I went with the Metra 70-1786 harness, and also got a radio adaptor. SUPER easy to wire/install - I took my time and had to run to the basement to get soldering iron, etc., and I was approx 45 minutes from start to finish.
Thanks @benzo1968 -- can you advise on the radio adaptor is this a separate module and does it connect with the harness? Or directly into the new head unit?
It's just an additional extension that goes on the end of the plug that goes into the back of the deck. Someone else mentioned that their factory Becker deck has this extension - you just need to remove if, but that wasn't the case for mine - I bought this: https://a.co/d/9jJxPPq
Thanks the link did not work for me it goes to some offer spam site... So with the mantra is there any issue with the coax outputs from the speakers? Does it make a difference to connect to the other speaker pins? Finally does the head unit come with a harness which matches the plug on the unit to open wires?
