It sounds like the best solution is to find a Ferrari shop with SD2 and a very good familiarity with the 355.
@ForzaLaVida hello mate, dont suppose you ever figured out how to deal with a timed out subscription for an SD3? Many thanks, Robin.
Mine never had a timer. It can be turned off. I would check with Daniel at Ricambi America and see if he still has any contacts in Italy who repair or service them. Might also ask Rod Drew in Costa Mesa California at FAI and see if he gets involved in them. He does a lot of Ferrari electronic component repair. I never asked if he fixes equipment.
@ForzaLaVida many thanks for your hard work piecing this software together. I was grateful to download it to see if I could connect to an old SD2 I have here. I have it installed on a windows 10 machine, but running in win95 compatibility mode, which seems to be working as it should. The computer has a native serial com port, so I thought this would be easy. Sadly however, I get timeout errors every time I try to connect to the SD2. Not really sure what could be going wrong... was thinking maybe the com post settings are wrong? I don't suppose you know what they should be? I take it if the SD2 has the PS transfer screen active, it should just connect straight away when click on the connect button in the SD2 software?
Hi! I'd like to have a possible diagnostic tool to read live data from the F355 1995/1995 Bosch M2.7 systems with only 3-pin diagnostic connector. And I was looking here to see if there was any option to SD1, SD2, SD3 systems that are too expensive for a personal use. I've already tried some Foxwell scanners as NT680, but it doesn't work. Maybe only for F355's of USA market with OBD connector. And now I'm happy to see your projetc, @ForzaLaVida . I don't know exactly what it's necessary to develop such diagnostic tool, but I have some material about Bosch 2.7 system (not from Ferrari). If you would like to take a look at it, please send me a private message, [email protected] Thanks!
I am a hardware/software engineer with direct experience with ECU's and have a Maserati QP test bench that also needs proxy alignment. Happy to be of assistance. PM me [email protected]
Also anybody got a offline patch (Database) for Witech 2 software that will work with 2014 Maserati QP ? I believe my Micropod 2 clone wont work online due to a invalid hardware serial number to FCA servers. I need alignment of a new ECU to existing modules. Please PM me [email protected] Thanks
Just to add to this very exciting thread that I hope is not dead. Could a Micropod 2 clone be used as a J2534 pass-thru for the hardware connection? If SDX uses a generic comport driver would be better otherwise some intercept/re-route software driver might be needed to re-direct the data stream to a different USB device and to facilitate any authentication requirements. Just an idea?
@ForzaLaVida can you advise of a summary of what has been achieved to date with this project? Is it a computer run SD2 or equivalent emulator with SW which can interface with our cars? I have a 2003 360 with an earlier TCU so none of the other solutions fully work...
