    I recently purchased a 2007 F430 spider and it has an electric outlet behind the drivers seat. The establishment where I purchased it said it was a trickle charger-anyone know anything about this? Is there something I should check prior to plugging it in to a wall outlet?

    Post a picture of the receptacle or plug that you are talking about. It’s probably what they told you it is, but I want to see it before telling you for sure.

    When I bought my 2009 F430 it had a hookup for a trickle charger in the same place.

    Mine didn’t look anything like a plug that would plug into a wall receptacle though.

    I had 2 F430's for 11 years an 05 and an 07 and I'm 99% sure the plug in for charger was in passenger footwell near where battery is... a wire came out from there and tucked up under the dash.... there definitely wasn't any type of plug behind the seats on either side.... hmmmm I never used my charger though as the F430 has a dead switch that turns everything off under the bonnet.... if I went away for a couple weeks, I'd switch that off is all.

    Welcome aboard. Definitely post a pic. Also, do a search in the 360/430 model-specific forum. I do recall the location you describe as being a battery tender port in some installs.

    Like others, mine is a wire directly to the battery in the passenger footwell area, but that’s one I put in myself.

    Besides having a tremendous amount of wonderful people that provide insight… This application on my iPhone after recent update, is a PIA.
