    Yes it is a bit different. Though the original question asked about abandoning any order and subsequent relationship and not under the limited condition of simply not wanting it.

    When I confirmed my final build for the SF90S the SA mentioned not only the build is final but once it hit 10R if I decided to cancel the order I would lose my deposit and the dealer would be hit with a fee of over $20K
    This is my 5th F car and I was never told that in the past.

    In know someone who backed out of a new SF90 once he saw it at the dealer.
    He was black listed and lost his $30k deposit AND they did sell the car about a week later.

    He keeps thinking he can get back on the favored list through connections he has at other dealers.
    But as I understand it the list is at the Ferrari corporate level not the dealer level.

    He now owns a 2 model year old 765LT.

    I suspect this is the same person I wrote about earlier in this thread. If not the circumstances (including the 765LT) are shockingly similar...
