Great work Mario with the pictures.

In the end, you have to keep moving and evolving.

We just happen to be coming out of a true golden age for Ferrari ~2010-> ~2020. They have to keep evolving. It may not be to each of our tastes. And for that, there are plenty of older models.

I was driving behind my friends F8 over the weekend and I thought how nice it was to see those iconic 4 rear tail lights.

All the asses up to and including the 812 are a beautiful natural progression.

The Comp was the first to jump the shark with the JDM over-styled, oversized toy car ass with super weird exhaust tips. It's like someone thought it was a good idea to photoshop a Kardashian ass to a Adriana Lima face. Basically the opposite of the cohesive aggressive elegant perfection of the TDF.

The 12C coupe somehow managed to both double down on the Comp mess and also completely go off the reservation. Literally nothing historically progressive about it whilst claiming to be a tribute to a historical model.

For those who like the new styling direction good on you, but showing the historical progression only highlights the recent deviation, it doesn't justify it.

 

This thread just keeps on giving. I’m old, but damn boys move on a little bit. The pics were interesting. I see the theme. Perhaps the rectangular symmetry in the 12C ass end is the new perfection [emoji848] If you believe there will be exhausts in future models the next 5 comparative rear ends may hold the same continuity. Would that make us all happy? LOL

This angle is exactly the problem with this design. It is unbelievably un-Ferrari in terms of elegant styling.

 

Can't disagree more.

 

“Un-Ferrari”. I’m sure they appreciate being painted into that box [emoji849]. The PS is also “un-Ferrari” given it’s a 4 door with a higher than usual ground clearance. However, owners will love it and so will the general public.

I was told I can get a coupe this year, but it will be 2027 before the spider is being made, is that correct?

 

I want to see these wheel arches in person. I think they will make or break it, especially the face on and rear views.

 

The first Spiders are scheduled to be produced in the second half of 25.

 

Some media is saying Q1 25 for the Spiders.

 

Probably Q1 production for Euro and ROW deliveries, Q3 for North America.

Fchat members complain that the 12C referenced an old car too much, then others complain it is too ‘’un-Ferrari’. We are divided and conquered. As for the Comp being a mess, just no. It is exquisitely done. In the flesh it looks absolutely magnificent and almost everyone who has seen our garage chooses that car as their favourite, whether they know what it is or not. There’s just something about it that stands out and bears favourable comparison against 458s, Pistas, 911s, Testarossas, standard 812s, even hyper cars. It really is very special. I wrote on another thread that we drove our 812 SF on a weekend trip about 1,000 miles last weekend. Great car but completely dispels the myth that it is 90% of a Comp. It just isn’t. It is different and the Comp is the better car by a mile. For those who know how good the 812 is, it gives you some idea of how wonderful I think the Competizione is.

 

Ok well opinions abound on it clearly. I’m really not sure how that block like piece you are looking at there in that photo follows the classic design philosophy of clean lines or texture or elegance. It actually is more Lamborghini design influence with sharp angles and a jigsaw puzzle feeling. I’m talking about the black rear piece. Not everything. It feels confused to me and clearly a vision related to the new techy leader. Go ahead and like it. It just feels like a very different path that it is on. And very much a more advanced Roma in terms of styling cues.

 

We still didn't see those rims in full black on a real car, for me they will be much better in single color
