I am in between daily drivers and have been occasionally using my Ferraris, a gated 575 and a gated 430 Spider for daily duties. Amazing cars but don't really work, as I live in London, my DD drives are quite suburban, and I need a 2+2 for the occasional foldable teenage offspring on these short-ish journeys.

The Ferraris are great on a good day even for these drives, but not every day suits them.

I don't need a SUV or a big sedan, or an electric car, and am interested, what sporty but less hardcore cars do people here have as DDs?

Do you have cars that contrast with the fiery nature of your Ferraris, like a 911, if so which 911? Or do you go more luxe/GT like a Bentley or Aston? Or..?

I daily drove my gen 3 viper when I had it. I missed it so much after I sold it for the Ferrari I bought another one to fix up for that purpose. I am probably in the minority thinking that is an acceptable daily. I like raw, analog cars.

I love my 2013 black CALIFORNIA 30 as my DD to me it is a perfect daily driver comfortable sporty , fast enough .. I really think this car in black is the perfect color someone blacked out the taillights and it has a carbon fiber rear panel and ciouo diamond seats .. so from the rear it looks great, I get more compliments on this car .....

I miss my Giulia Quadrifoglio. With it's sharp handling it would be fantastic on your roads, and used ones are nicely depreciated.

    your question is a contradiction...
central london is awful. no parking or very costly. 2mph actual speed. ridiculous fuel costs. there is no sporty version of anything for that profile ! :)

if i moved back to london, i would probably revert to my scooter.
but if a car is required, then i would get something built for purpose: a cab ;)

but all kidding aside, i think one of the porsche hybrids is about as good as you can get for all that. just pick the model that suits you best.

AMG GTC with top down when the weather was great, NYC roads destroyed it. It’s now a lifted Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with 37 in tires. The roads don’t stand a chance.

Ha. Funny… I had the GTC Roadster for past 4 years. Sold it to a guy in Texas. Loved it and I also have a Rubicon for the really wet days when the 911 stays home with the Ferrari

Thanks everyone. interesting. A few of these are on my shortlist

Wondering if an all-Ferrari stable with a Cali 30 as a DD might be a bit repetitive..need a more mellow car for a dark winter evening..or just you can’t have too much of a good thing.

and if a 911 will feel boring by comparison

I need occasional back seats which rules out the two seaters.

but v interesting to see, I guess it’s personal preferences also
