Does anyone have any broken flashlights they want to sell or part with?

I am trying to fix mine and I need the end piece that screws in.

Open to anything can’t believe I broke it. =\

    Thanks

You can buy a normal silver Maglite for around $20 and use that cap. The color/finish is a bit diff.

Thanks for the message back and the kind wishes.

Your endcap looks better than mine… unfortunately the battery on mine did a better weld job than an average human being in terms of aluminum.

if you private message me, I can send you my address and Venmo you some $$ for the challenge and don’t mind giving it a shot in my free time

Correct the eBay offered is more of a chrome polished finish, where the Ferrari is an off mat grayish finish.

believe it or not I can’t get the endcap to be compatible for some reason. I’m thinking it has something to do with the tread difference one leaking battery too many.

You can change the standard polished look to a more matte finish - see attached. It won't be perfect but it's passable.
    Destroyed one is the original.

How did you get your cap off? I cut mine off as you can see, and the threads on the body while no longer perfect, still work.

BTW, there are some spray painted replica's floating around.
Not very noticeable in pics but in person it's night and day.

Yours, look good, to remove the end cap I placed the flashlight (with front end items removed) in boiling water.

I boiled 2” of water in the microwave then soaked -on third attempt cap came off with slight effort. Luckily expanding the metal when hot and allowing the cap to come off.

The hot water does not destroy the item. battery acid on the other hand is another story…

I destroyed the living heck out of my AA MiniMag light tail cap trying to get it off after virtually every chemical and heat/cool trick known to man. The acid did its job, taking the flashlight with it. This was not a Ferrari one, but clearly it is an issue with any of these left lying around too long.

My 360 did not come with a flashlight and my search for one within anything approaching reasonable was fruitless, so I had 50 of the printed (not decal, not painted) to match. I have 4 left. PM if interested.

As mentioned above, the newer silver finish is more satin silver as opposed to matte. Just depends how you want to use it.

I think the idea about getting a 'regular' AA Maglite and using the tailcap if that's all you need is a good one. You could scotchbrite the finish to be a close mimic of the original.

Yep, from there up it seems! The ones I saw also tended to have the inherent ‘hasn’t been used in years’ issues.

The new ones I had made sell for just $97, which is - to me - more justifiable if you plan on using it since they’re brand new mini Maglites. Totally a personal call.
