Do we know if Max needs a new engine? Grid penalty?
Can't wait for Charles to handily beat the Spanish snake for the millionth time, and after race hear his cult followers call Charles too emotional and playboy and yadda yadda...the usual
Announced this morning: Pierre has signed a multi year extension with Alpine. Great for him, a good guy. Give him a decent car and he will deliver as he proved at Toro Rosso.
No lets look forward to the overpaid playboy whining about a minor pass and hoping Mommy steps in. Hes such a 'team leader' the playboy LOL!! He has his Monaco Qualy GP trophy and he still whines. Coddled he is.
Mclaren is using a rented motorhome at this track. We could see the Mclaren facility up and running at Silverstone.
Cheaper to rent. Why foce the ownership and maintenance of such a facility. Off load that cost and develop the car lol
Oh but we are soooo 'sustainable' with such large, power hungry, heat generating facilities lol The RedBull shack was impressive when I was in there in Austria. Its supposedly utterly efficient etc. Still they have to move them about, set up, heat, cool etc. Sorry but the Billionaire, celeb trash can get a tent and paper plates for their selfies and help the effort lol
Image Unavailable, Please Login McLaren Motorhome for the weekend. Plenty of room for the BBQ and to sign deals lol. No need for the replacement to be built!!
I would have thought McLaren would have more than one portable palace. Which of the teams have multiples?
It's already looking bad after Practice 1. I don't know what his issue is. He must not feel confident at all with this car. What puzzles me is that he never blames the car, it's either lack of time to get the right setup, traffic or the weather. Maybe he's too loyal to the team to criticize it. I hope he can turn things around quick.
Like Ricci he has had enough time lol. Zero faith he will find his form anytime soon. He is not the top tier driver some think he is. Not anymore if ever he was. He is consistently lost in a car that wins with another driver.
What do expect? He grew up in ****ing Monaco!! Not like he grew up in Cleveland mowing lawns- He's a snot-nosed, hyper-privileged brat that happens to drive fairly well on occasion - Like most in F1
I dont care where he grew up. There are opulent and wonderful places others have grown up in. Charles just needs to move on, lead and make the team his own. He's not doing that from what I see when he focuses on what Carlos did last race lol. Useless. Carlos is now excluded from tech meetings. Charles can sleep easier and focus on other strategic items he needs to be ready for.
Charles is almost an enigma. He's (normally) incredibly fast over a single lap and race pace is good too, but it very often seems he just doesn't want to fight for position. He expects his teammates to give up positions or not attack him. When others overtake him it's usually followed by a complaint. How he handled Xavi is utterly beyond me, a guy so deeply incompetent yet always blindly followed whatever was being said. That's where Carlos' main strength is over Leclerc, his ability to read what's going on in the race and having the balls to dream up his own strategy. Look at Max, Lewis, Alonso...they've been on the naughty step pretty often because they push the rules to the limit. They don't get passively overtaken and put on their surprise face and hope the nerds in the stewards office will sort it out at some point. I think or hope next year's Lewis' arrival will put some fire under Charles' feet.
