Stenhouse will probably get suspended for throwing the first punch, but Rowdy needs to be suspended as well for blatantly wrecking a driver who, IMO, did nothing wrong. When Busch left the inside open and Stenhouse passed him, it was only Busch's refusal to back off that put him into the wall, causing little perceptible damage. It was a racing incident but he claimed, incorrectly, that Stenhouse "wrecked" him. That did not call for him putting Stenhouse out of the race, and he should pay the price.,
3 of the 4 SHR charters are going to Trackhouse, 23XI, and Front Row and the 4th is rumored to be going to Dale Jr so probably not
I’m not arguing with you, but it’s funny that Jr said that the business case didn’t make sense when the charter was $35m. Supposedly someone paid $40m last year so I wonder what has changed in the formula.
Just seeing this thread. Never been a Nascar fan but our daughter is now engaged to Chris Bell's (Gibbs Racing) fueler and both my wife and I are learning and watching the races. We have quite enjoyed them and now have a rooting interest. The bonus is he gets us great pit passes for the races and that is a lot of fun. I actually am starting to get into it now!
tough to make sense of this Chicago race with both races being heavily rain/darkness affected SVG last year made up for the poor quality race. I don't think Bowman will have the same affect this year visuals are pretty amazing, it's a market they need to be in, but the racing has really sucked. maybe we can get a dry track next year and decide if it's worth it.
NASCAR + Street Circuit + Rain = crappy racing Joey Hand, Ford factory sports car guy (ran in the Ford GT LeMans program, was a factory BMW driver before that) was in contention at the end. I was rooting for him
I enjoyed this race until the red flag. It's a good event, though it would help if the streets used were all repaved before next year. It will be a great event if they can ever get it entirely in without rain!
Yeah, they kept referring to the paint on the streets as being 'slick', crosswalks, lane lines, etc. maybe they should consider doing what they do here in some places, mix some sand in with the paint... (helps an icy street)
Rain wrecks an otherwise exciting race For once I'd love to see this event be dry One thing about these new cars: the composite bodywork allows them to slam into each and the walls and bounce off with little or no damage. Broken toe links are a bigger concern than crashed bodywork
one of NASCAR's "who dat" legacy trust fund kids dumped two drivers to win last night. the payback will be a *****.
If Dillon isn't suspended for that (or excluded from the playoffs), I'm through with NASCAR forever. "Rubbin'" is one thing, but that was the most obvious example of intentionally wrecking two cars that I've ever seen, and it should not go unpunished.
'I hate it but I had to do it'??? WTF? https://www.nascar.com/videos/franchise/nascar-cup-victory-lane/austin-dillon-after-richmond-win-i-hate-it-but-i-had-to-do-it/
Dillon doesn't get suspended but does lose his automatic playoff berth. given that he's 31st in points, he basically has to (legitimately) win one of the last 3 regular season races to make playoffs. Tweet— Twitter API (@user) date
I’m really surprised they didn’t suspend him, but not making the playoffs despite winning is a nice FU
Dillon's a Dildo. But less useful. Can't stand that kid, never could. Idon't like Logano or Hamlin either, but both Wallace and Elliott got suspended for hooking a driver in the right rear at speed, why wouldn't he?
