I'm doing my DD on a car and inquired about the sticky buttons.
The sales guy said "this is the worst" (pic included)

Is the film about to rip and become sticky? If so, do the others follow?

Based on what happened with my F1 buttons before I replaced them. It's not a sticky button, but the entire coating will de-laminate and you will eventually have only the "white" plastic underneath. BTW, this is also happening right now to my son's 2012 AMG window buttons and is so common on Mercedes buttons that Amazon sells a kit to fix it. Another project for another day...

No such luck for Ferrari, you will need new buttons. Depending on which actual switch setup you have (there are two different types) you can buy just a replacement button "top" on eBay or you can buy the StickyRX version (which I have) that give you completely new switches. Never bought the eBay ones, but the StickyRX version will never have the problem as it is a completely different coating and setup.

Yep looks like the black is delaminating and its just going to end up white.
No way out of it. I think I have some AUTO decals. It's a vinyl graphic and it covers the complete button. Once it's on no one will know and it will never get sticky

I recommend the StickyRX solution. I like the look and feel better than the OEM.

Removal for refinishing? Is the A/C cluster with the buttons just pressed into the dash or back with bolts?

If it's a hard button then it can be refinished however if it's a soft push button then Joe is correct it cannot be refinished

Ebay has several of those buttons. See if they are what you’re looking for.

the button is in the disintegration process.
These are rubber buttons, unlike the hard plastic ones found though out the rest of the interior.
I replaced both of mine (R and AUTO) with some from SNM. I found the ones from Ebay do not match the font used by Ferrari on the factory ones.
