This is what it's all about out here.

This a nice little core sample chunk of copper I found underground last night.

It's around the size of a 440ml coke can and weighs a few kg. It's a heavy little bugger.

I am going to take it home, would be $20 worth of copper in that ready to be extracted.

Yep, i've seen better!

I've seen ones that are completely copper! Like, the entire thing looks like it's glowing copper lol

Must weigh 8-10kg too, heavy as ****.

I assume this sample is 20 years old when we use to get around 5-6% copper.

Watered down to around 2-3% copper over the last 10 years.

I think we are around 0.9-1.2% copper grade today.

Probably why they are closing the doors next year lol

Not worth the effort to pull it out of the ground.

 

I've also been to Jumbo breakdowns on the "face" and seen 6x6m rock faces of copper that look like the rock face is made of pure gold.

Absolutely incredible to see in person and I wish we had camera phones back in those days.

There would be some nice photos out there somewhere I am sure.

 

If they actually knew what it was, they would expect it for free as part of the billions of dollars of "royalties" they get paid yearly from the mining industry around Australia.

 

I get home from work this evening, start mowing the lawn out front and I had this young girl come up to me and point out to the top of my Neighbours house telling me the house is on fire and I "would wanna turn my lawn mower off" and she power walked away.

She knew something was up............

I take a look, I take off inside and call 000. I then run out the back and saw the garden hose was already on and running, so I grabbed it and started to cool the roof down before the emergency services arrive.

Back left corner of the house is ****ed. Roof sheets, eaves, trusses, wiring etc I can imagine all ****ed.

My Neighbour left town a few years ago, house has been a rental. Tenants just moved out a month ago.

Little ****s broke in 2 weeks ago. Now they tried to burn it to the ground. They all need a bullet.

There has been hundreds of stolen cars here the last few years, but the last month or so it's stolen cars AND fires.

Work mate 2x days ago had the river bed lit up behind his house and it down major damage to his fence, destroyed his $5000 pool pump and melted water poly to his house.

An old, retired friend owns 200+ cars that he's collected over the last 40+ years. Old Fords, Holdens, 40 to 60 series Landcruiser utes. Multiples of everything, all complete cars, nothing special, but nothing that was total trash either.

Someone lit it all up and burned it all to the ground Friday just gone.

Here is a video a mate of mine made for some unknown reason.

Only a matter of time before they light someone's house up and burns to the ground and kills someone.

They said I was very brave, I did an outstanding job at calling the emergency services, turning the electricity off at the power box and containing the fire........................that they made me the Fire Chief of Mount Isa.

You know what mate, I've never really said this before in my 44 years of living here, but the last few months I have been saying "I can't wait to get the **** out of this ****hole".

And I genuinely mean that, this place is just not the same anymore.

 

I am seriously questioning this myself and I am glad I got the Wife and kids out of here, I'm next.
