    I'm looking for a template of this console overlay. What I want to do is to make one out of a thin rosewood substraight. Maybe somebody here has an old one laying around they could loan to me. I'd like to avoid taking mine out to do the trace and reinstalling if possible.

    Hi Peter. Here is artwork I put together for the console, with lovingly recreated symbols. It's for my '88 coupe, so it will be perfect for your car. I did have some vinyl graphics produced from it, with die cuts for the holes which could be applied to recreated substraight, though it wouldn't be precisely the correct OEM look/texture and I don't know how well the adhesive would hold up over time, but I can send you one if you want.

    Does anyone know when they started the temperature in degrees on the thermostat control? My '87 doesn't have it, but I have seen some cars with it.

    My August '88 car has them (see above), but your '87 car and Peter's early '88 car doesn't have them, so I would guess they introduced them at some point in 1988, but I don't know for sure.
