A 12Cilindri was circulating in Maranello with camouflage for the first time covering exactly the parts that are body colored and also covering the black parts (roof and rear flaps). The piece where the rear glass is located, and the side windows and glass in general are without camouflage.
This way, we can see exactly what the design of the 12Cilindri would look like painted entirely in body color.
IMO, it looks absolutely sensational, highlighting the rear side window much more, and overall it looks more muscular, classic and italian.
I don't think the whole delta theme is an intrinsic requirement in the functioning of the 12Cilindri design. The design of the 12 Cilindri is cohesive in its lines, and works on its own, and the delta should be optional. In my opinion, it is beautiful with the black parts and delta theme, and even more beautiful entirely in body color.
Interestingly, the black piece at the front (homage to the 365 GTB/4) is without camouflage.

As dcmetro already pointed out, I was referring to turbine design. And with a word "ghost", I meant the "non-material" gaps in the wheel.

This ghost turbine form pleases my eye (as does the turbine in F512M wheel) but unfortunately it can't be seen from the distance. Instead you see something totally different.

This does not look good. It would obviously require a redesign to get rid of the deltawing. Rear window section looks quite tall now and does not fit together with wider rear lights section.

Subjective, of course. I'm sure you're right, it could be better if designed without the delta wing in the first place. But to me, this looks pretty good, and vastly better than when the black bits are exposed. Those graphics look articificial and contrived to me, so this is addition by subtraction.

Just my opinion feel color can make or break it on this specific model!

You can compare this side view of the 12 C with the two I posted in my previous post. In this one, the side view is roughly at eye level for a standing adult. It's not my intention to be rude but as the rear flaps and the delta wing become more visible from this angle on the red 12 C, IMO the car is less appealing .

Same. It's currently my default spec. I think Azzurro California over Crema would also look good.

The light color doesn't work on the coupe at least. Has all the charm of a coolie carrying an old sack of coal.
Blu Pozzi Metallico is a better fit. Or Nero Stellato with a wonderful gold fleck in the paint.

Very surprised they used door/rear fender split line for surface transition—for the exact reason you mention. I always avoided doing this in the sketches I did for this car because I expected them to do that.

Painting the car to match the trim. Hmm. o_O

(Not saying I disagree, though. I hope you like black cars.)

If Ferrari doesn't allow customers to configure the 12Cilindri without the black parts/delta theme, why is it available to order the car in Nero DS, which leaves the entire car in one color and takes away the delta effect?

Design wise, what is the difference between a 12Cilindri entirely in Nero DS, and one painted entirely in another color?

The car has very subtle curves and character lines which I think would get lost with a darker color/

I think the answer would be that nero hides the delta wing graphic. Painting the winglets would change the graphic. E.g., they're OK with hiding it, but not changing it.

(Not saying I agree with that rationale.)

FWIW, I believe the black bits are a different material. So nero may make them less conspicuous, but I bet they'll still be visible in some light.

Nero hides everything except the chrome wheels

I had a Ferrari finished in Nero non metallic and it looked absolutely superb after being washed. Unfortunately that only lasted about 5 minutes therefore I became a very competent car washer. :)
