Hi Marcel - what do we know about this car? https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1989-ferrari-f40-1 I'm new to this forum, second thing I've ever typed on it (first was asking joe lackey the same question) but I've learned these cars can have troublesome identities etc - and obviously I can see this car has been, erm, well, modified (not improved in my view) - but is it a car know to this forum? Jo
Thanks Marcel - I have found some information on the forum on it now via the search. I should have really typed - is it a car known to you - as I have read some of your knowledgable comments and opinions on here with interest. Do you think someone has had a good buy at US$1.5M? Seems like it to me.

Thanks for sharing Marcel, always great to see them being used on the road, IMO that's essential to the future of the brand which is why Ferrari stage the events they do, a number of our clients have completed the Venice Cavalcade and can't wait for the next one.
Knowing what it will cost to correct that car it will be a “labor of love” and not a good financial decision/investment based on what you can get a good car immediately for.
As I mentioned here www.ferrarichat.com I actually think that was a nice buy considering what a "good" car really is today.
Finally it didn’t rain on the weekend. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Your F40 looks brilliant as always Warren, by the way, you'll be interested to know that in the past 60 days we have sold no less than three (3) rare Lexan Sliding Windows F40, the most recent being the ex-Nigel Mansell F40 nº 80022, a significant car because signing Mansell and authorizing his signing bonus F40 was one of Enzo Ferrari's last acts before he died.

We love all the Ferrari Supercars (288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo, LaFerrari) and love selling all of them them into great homes, but the F40 is requested far & away the most often by prospective buyers which underscores it's enduring popularity.
1993-94 if I remember correctly at Ultimate Motor Works first time I’ve ever seen one in person, I remember the owner of the F40 also owned the countach and the Diablo that was under the cover. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I went for an early drive, no clouds, and Keith Wan took some brilliant shots. Thanks Keith. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Add another known repainted F40 to the list. #85515 is painted Argento Nürburgring and features several added LM bits. This car is for sale with Curated, will be around Monterey car week, and if you couldn't guess from the way it looks, it's coming out of...prepare yourself for a shock...Japan.
