Good morning. Trying to get some perspective in todays market. If price is reflective, specs are excellent, condition is excellent, it is from a dealer and certified, maintenance as should be from Ferrari throughout it’s history….. Is 17k miles a red flag on a ‘19 Pista? Would be an occasional, weekend drives through mountains, shows, etc… not a daily or semi-daily. Could be a keeper forever car, may not be, things happen/change. Just getting a general consensus here among the crowd. Thank you.
as long as the price is in line with the miles, go for it. no one will be able to tell, including you, unless you look at the odometer. if this is the way for you to enter Pista ownership that makes you comfortable, then rock out. CPO is massive here, and should put you at ease
Silly question but if this was a Mercedes or a Honda would 17k even be an issue. There are Ferraris that have tens of thousands of mile and as long as they are maintained appropriately they are fine. With that being said, more mileage on any car means the potential for more repairs. As long as you are comfortable with paying for repairs and potential depreciation with even more miles I vote for buy it and enjoy it.
Did any parts fall off at 20k? I’ve heard rumors that random things start to fall off and that the car radios back to Italy with a distress signal.
What a great find. I love cars like these. But sounds like you should save this car for someone else who wants a driver's car. :-D Really wish I'd have found one of these instead of "ruining" a low miles Italia and low miles Speciale.
i think if price reflects the mileage then no issue at all - in fact probably better than a low mileage car because it is being driven
^ agreed, I prefer higher mileage cars that are well maintained.. I would be more fearful of the pristine garage queen that has not been run regularly
I wouldn’t consider it to be “high miles.” Ferrari certified it and that should put you at ease regarding its condition. No brainer for me.
It’s barely over 3k per year… barely used. Ridiculous that this is a thing to even question…. Sadly, I know it is a thing but we all gotta wake up… 17k miles LOLOLOLOL 117k, ok something to question but seriously, let’s stop the madness of 10k-50k miles on Ferraris…. That said, I should get off my ass and drive mine more. I hate that they depreciate so hard for TINY bits of mileage Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Driving a car is part of maintaining a car. I throw a red flag if someone is selling a car with less than 2k/yr average. Usually more maintenance issues on an unused car than one that has been driven. Depreciation for mileage usually works in buyer’s favor as well because depreciation is higher than the replacement cost of worn parts typically.
I'll say it again...if the car's service history is perfect and the car is in excellent well cared for condition and priced right....I'd much rather have a car that has miles than one that sits. More so than not, the car with miles is trouble free over the 5yr old car with only 1k miles or so. 3k miles a year on any modern day car is nothing!!!
I just appraised my car on one of these online sites and ive lost over $150k in value over two years of ownership. Outside of a blown turbo the car has been rock solid. I'd go for it especially if it's a cpo car and the price reflects the mileage. In hindsight I would have did better had I bought a car with higher mileage as opposed to buying my car with only 4k miles. The good thing here is that you don't lose if you don't sell. I'm not selling so there's that lol. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Yeah 2 years ago Pista's to the 2nd or 3rd etc owner were selling higher but I personally have not seen them lose $150k since the hight of pricing...or at least I thought so. Maybe I am missing something????....WOW...
Like to ask a question since its 17 k Pista. The car would be a post Feb 2019. Technically if it was pre Feb 2019 every year on its free service the oil would have been changed. Since its a post Feb 2019 the oil will only be changed IF Ferrari deems it necessary. Can you see how many times the oil has been changed ? Technically should have been 5 times if done every year.
According to the Carfax it’s been serviced 5 times at the Ferrari dealer. It doesn’t specify the specifics of each service.
