Lol, that is why I wanted to be a motor mechanic................to fix my Mum's car once and for all.
I was going across a pedestrian crossing today, and walked in front of a Cullinan. Geez, they are huge and intimidating from a pedestrian point of view, sit so high and all radiator, almost like a Ram. I checked the rego, just to see if it was some variant I wasn't aware of. Intriguingly the Cullinan is registered with NSW RMS as a "Panel Van". Who would have thought the Cullinan and the Sandman were long lost cousins Image Unavailable, Please Login
What’s really weird is they allow these monstrosities on the road but they banned pop up headlights due to “pedestrian safety”…
That is hilarious! I reckon Messrs. Rolls and Royce would be rolling in their graves with the junk carrying their names these days... the 1910 Silver Ghost was just gorgeous. Such proportion and balance in what is a very big car; compared to the overweight Cullinan's blob.
Beautiful [emoji7] bit fresh fuel and a jump start she’d kick over [emoji12] Look what’s coming to Brooklands https://brooklandscc.com/car/bentley-3-4-1-2-litre-tourer-1923/ Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Why would you single out a 1910 Silver Ghost from any other year ? And to sY such a proportion and balance ,clearly you no little of pre Great War and pre World War 11 Rolls-Royce ,W.O.Bentley or Bentley 1931 models and bodies.
My question to you Ian is...............If the AXIS alliance had WON the Second World War, would a WCC ever have taken place from 1950? Think about this engine and what it powered during WW2..............Think about The Battle of Britain and these engines roll in the fighting over the skies of Britain and the English Channel in 1940. Far more relevant to the 20th-century free world, than 20-odd cars going around in a circle for a few hours. I find Rolls-Royce's roll in various World speed events be it air, sea or land far more interesting than what is a clearly rigged car race series !
