    I haven't seen that.

I've seen that as the announcement of the Porsche 911 GTS.

But what about the other models.

You can not get a hybrid and a manual.

To my understanding that is how it will be with Porsche moving forward. Also all rs cars are pdk but it's been that way.

I would observe that people who want manuals don't give a hoot about "hybrids" so the fact they brought manuals back for some ICE models <I own one> was genius- perhaps Ferrari should follow

    I understand why Ferrari doesn't.

However... And I've said this for about 10 years...

Ferrari needs to make a 400-500hp na v8 or 12 screamer in aluminum or carbon chassis and make it purely about driving. Not speed.

Ferrari will need to concentrate on the driving experience... Because electric is going to smoke everything but have zero driving experience

    Your opinion please.

If tomorrow Ferrari announced they were selling ONLY manuals, would they sell as many cars?

No- they should do what Porsche has done and offer options- not necessarily across the entire model line- but if they marketed a lightweight mid- with a manual and a big boy V12 with a manual true Ferrari buyers would go crazy-

That's a great question! My answer is a firm no. Many of the nouveau riche don't even know how to drive manual or they prefer the DCT. Plus, with EVs coming, unless they pull a Toyota with the faux manual, it's a lost cause. Half of the 'save the manuals' crowd are just flexing their car credentials as if 80-year-old grannies aren't out there shifting gears every day.

It's like saying, "I don't need a backup camera; I use my rearview mirror like a pro."

Like that makes them a racecar driver or something? They need to do some track racing, then I might start taking them seriously. "I only drive manuals" won't cut it by itself. Okay, they're on par with little girls and boys in Europe/Asia.

Don't get me wrong, I prefer stick, but it's gets tiring when folks use it as some sort of limit test if one is a 'true' enthusiast or 'real' driver. Hell, F1 hasn't use manual in what many years?!? Hard core is neck breaking G forces and fireproof underwear folks. Until somebody understands what it means to have to piss in their car cuz things are *that* intense, don't chest pump manuals as what make one 'hardcore' at the fancy restaurant after the parade drive.

    The copium is real.

^ I don't get it. So people in normal conversation talk about driving a stick shift to.... flex?

I would think people know what they want and buy what they want but I guess anything is possible.

It’s wild to me that supposedly not a single US California buyer opted for a manual. It’s one of the highest production models too. Even if we are to suppose every single person preferred to drive an automatic, no speculators recognized that a manual would have value as a rarity?

The only reasonable answer seems to be that while technically offered, it wasn’t actually able to be ordered for some reason? I’m sure someone that actually ordered a California at the time or from within the dealer network or company could answer that.

It’s also surprising that so few 430’s, 575’s, 612’s, and 599’s were ordered as manuals for the same reason. The future value wasn’t recognized?

The California manual wasn't available in the US.

Also, consider the demographic of the new Ferrari buyer. The latest technology is important, and many simply cannot drive a stick.

No idea why manual have higher value…. They’re a pain in the a$$ to drive, have additional wearable components and are ugly aesthetically in interior.

Oh, and they were cheaper when new. If I remember right, the F1 tranny was a 20k option on my F430. Manuals are dumb…. Maybe we should go back to rabbit ear antennas for tvs too. Weird.

And yet, I check MyBMW app every few hours to see if my 2025 Z4 Handschalter Edition with 6MT has left the port at Bremerhaven. I love my 458 Spider and Portofino M, but am ridiculously excited about a 400HP roadster with a 6MT. I drove my friends 718 Spyder the other day and would have bought one except for the incredibly stupid manual roof.

    I don't think it's about the market.
I think automatics are much easier to program for emissions regs than manuals.

    Say what?
All I can add is that I sold the Performante, Pista, 765LT, TDF, GT3 and GT3RS and kept the ‘05 Ford GT.
