Funny you say that. When the original zr1, blue devil, came out I bought one spur of the moment. Wife took one look at it, shook her head and refused to ride in it or even look in its directions. She is NOT a corvette fan.
I just sold my C8 Z06 to have garage space for my incoming SF90 Spider. I have to admit it exceeded my expectations. It’s the first Vette I’ve ever owned. They did a phenomenal job on that car. TBH the exhaust resonance was better than my 458.
I don’t love the C8 exterior but yes, it is a fantastic driver. Best vette ever. Agreed on the exhaust. Wonder how the turbo will impact it? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Missed my premise and there should be some level of integrity. He posts in two sections of three I read on here. Both about depreciation with zero intent to own either according to what he just posted here - but in those two sections he looking to buy this fall or spring. I have been on forums for a long time - we all at some point share what we do our garages etc. It's a small community - 45 dealers and so many VIP's. Free world anyone can do as they wish - you have proven that.
I may have an opening to get an early allocation. If so, I’m getting purple. Undecided on aero - I don’t care for the wing too much… Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Love how this thread became independent watchmaker and Corvette thread...this may actually mean no one really cares about SF90 depreciation for the car being so awesome. Everyone seems like just wait for the used car market to settle down and then jump in.
I’m still kicking myself a bit for passing on my allocation…. Waiting for V2. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
SF90 is an experiment for Ferrari and those who doubled down received an XX and or bought into the 200k hybrid program. 296XX same story There is going to be very big questions in near term of how full battery or hybrid will be seen - some factories will struggle as we have seen Ford to 2M hyper cars. SF90 is the best Ferrari to leave the factory for twenty plus years. I don't care about looks inasmuch engineering performance and comfort, meaning positives of seat time. When was the last time Ferrari went to a track and broke records. SF90 but for its price tag is not a Kodak moment - especially among owners who are long term. Look at Rimac struggling and Bugatti div sticking to ICE. Short term pain unlike Ferrari who will go there At the end pf the day - we will see all electric. The last engine hybrids will be heavily sought after - that's my .02
Just as 918 was an experiment !SF90 for me is one bad ass car, it crushes most everything down the 1/4 mile time after time
So, I've had the SF90 for a little over a week. What strikes me the most - beyond the outrageous, brutal pace this car makes - is the seamless nature of the EV and hybrid elements. In sport and qualifying more, you feel as though there is immediate acceleration while the turbos spool up (sounds like the Pista) and then the V8 takes over without any sense of 'handoff'. The eDif mode is a fun .... once, and then you'll never use it again. The handling feels a bit heavier that the Pista (my only other Ferrari) but is still really quick. The whole package including the build quality is quite good - my Pista had some less-than-perfect interior build issues. I have a '22 Turbo S and that feels noticeably slower by comparison. I'm not sure (other than the soundtrack) they can make a dramatically better car. I was told they made about 1,500 Stradales (probably a few more). That make sense to you guys?
Spot on.. I am looking into SF90, can easier find one $50-100k off for 2023 stradale.. Would like to keep last engine hybrid BUT we don't know what Ferrari will replace SF90 with. Same setup or something else.. SF90 is a beast, beauty second to none..
wow… I am looking for under 1000 miles, 2023. Specs in $600s. But with many miles (5-15k on odometer) then prices are lower $500s or upper $400s.. But I prefer to buy under 1k plus sf90 cannot be CPO by Ferrari.
I think the spec matters on the value as well, I have a hong kong viola spider so if someone loves that color, they'll pay more. Some will hate it and want to pay less, but specs play a factor as well.
