    Hi -

    Coming into town for the LSU v. Ol Miss football game on October 12. Anyone have any good tips on where to stay or party? Thanks.

    Two options:
    Downtown - Watermark Hotel, Hotel Indigo, Hilton Baton Rouge. Last year, there was a shuttle available from downtown that made it pretty easy to get to/from the stadium. I'm not sure about the nightlife (too old now :)) but I understand there is good nightlife in walking distance right in the area.
    Bluebonnet - Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel, 7000 Bluebonnet. This is a popular spot for LSU games if you don't like downtown. There is nightlife in the area but for my two cents, it's not as active as downtown.
    If it were me, I'd stay downtown. The hotels are newer, and the vibe is pretty good.
