Most prefer Shields on their F cars
But given the the adjacent vent and chrome accent details on the 12 Cilindri, does the car look better without the fender badges?

Or do you think it needs a larger painted one!

    What sayeth thou?

I'm leaning into the painted shields on it even with that ungodly price hah!

I'm wondering if painted shields might be below the vent

FEIW, I’ve got some with shields (including painted) and some without. It really depends on the car and livery. For example, my SF90 XX doesn’t have a shield, because with fender vents and a door number, it seemed too busy for a shield. I haven’t finalized my 12C spider configuration, but am leaning toward a painted shield. Although, the 12C would look perfectly fine without IMO.

I believe the painted shields are about $14,000 US, versus $2,000 for the regular.

I think its entirely dependent on your spec/ what you are looking to convey.

Also depends on the car. Some models (F8, SF90, 296 etc.) don’t really have enough space and the larger painted shields look awkward. However, with a bigger fender(812, Monza) they look absolutely fantastic.

The painted ones are above the vent at the 12C

Yeah, close enough, on the 812 they were $14,343 for the painted option so guessing that or a bit higher with Ferrari's price increases on the 12 Cilindri. I do agree it depends on the car. When the car has enough space, the painted shields look amazing. The 812 GTS is one of those cars, they look awesome on that car due to the amount of space. I haven't seen painted shields on any of the 12 Cilindri's that are running around at premiers or press shoots thus far, only the regular shields.

For future reference, while I agree that almost any model can work without shields, EVERY single Versione Speciale, XX and Icona should have shields. Yes regardless of how ‘busy’ the livery or loaded the exterior graphic scheme is. It doesn’t matter. Still needs shields. By definition. To do otherwise is fighting against the essence or spirit of these models. Do you ever see a Ferrari F1 car or LeMans car or Challenge car without shields? Never.

The metal badge looks too tiny on the long fender. My choice is either nothing or painted.

IMO they are way too down low on the 812 due to the panel bend. The 12C would look better without shields based on its more mainstream design.

IMO they are incredible on the 812, but I like the 812. It's a Ferrari, and I like shields on them. Hard for me not to spec one.

Any luck unearthing this photo? All of the photos I've seen have been cars with metal shields, only seen painted in configurator renders.

In reality the metal shields on the 12C look bigger than the metal ones on the 812 - but that's just my impression.

I opted for painted shields on my spec. With that huge clamshell bonnet I think they will look stunning.

I love the painted shields on my gts . At pebble , looked very close and part of the front fender design has a line mid way . Trying to picture a painted area , it looks forced into a smaller area above , and silly below this design line .

Every time I look at painted shields on the configurator, it just seems like 10% too big for the part of the hood it sits on. I'm still trying to convince myself into it though.
