Replica *6463*. Was a 330GT 2+2.

 

Around 1974 Alain de Cadenet sold 250 GTO 3767 GT to Anthony Bamford for £3000 after chipping de Cad £500 off the asking price as it had a few dents in it. Lord Bamford’s other 250 GTO, 4399 GT, owed him about £1760 when he bought it around 1970. He swapped it for one of the Promotional James Bond Aston Martin DB5s which he is said to have bought for $3,750 US a couple of years earlier. So that’s how you turn £4760 into around £70 million plus. Lord Bamford is the real Goldfinger.

I was lucky enough to put my hands on the rear license plate of 3607GT, when she was under the Late Jess G Pourret Ownership.

The car beared that registration between 1981 and 1987.

As you may know, that was one of the ex-Pierre Bardion / Mas du Clos GTOs.

There are no longer any collection with 2 GTOs? Walton Family maybe?

 

Lord Bamford with 3767 GT and 4399 GT (64 S2 Body). Both RHD. So he has 25% of the 8 RHD GTOs built.

Anthony and Lulu Wang with 3769 GT and 4713 GT (LMB body).

 

Walton has the set, GTO #3607GT, 330LMB #4453SA and 250GTO/64 #5575GT.

Anthony Wang (used to have #4453SA too) and Anthony Bamford are the only others I can think of and it would take a major reduction of GTO prices before we will see anyone buy more than one. Bardinon used to have #3607GT (1966-1968), #4725SA ('68-89), #5095GT ('67-94), #5573GT ('72-14) so also owned three at once.

 

Bamford owned 3 at one time and has owned at least 5. He has owned 3767GT since around 1974 as well as the ones stated in this post here.

 

I prever a 62 GTO and a 57 TR and not 2 GTO´s
there are more than 10 collectors who have them both
