So very few 308s of any description have been the subject of a high level restoration there are not really any comps to speak of as a guide.
Sounds like a good car though.

That's pretty extreme asking price for a North America vetro vs. Euro dry sump vetro. This car had better be perfect to ask that money. I own a '76 Euro vetro dry sump, competition modified in the early to mid '80's, but unrestored. Don't think the best Euro cars are bringing even $200k, but haven't been up on recent sales. Also noticed that there is an electrical wiring connection to the rear engine cover. Believe that the vetro cars had no wiring to the rear engine cover. The license plate lights were powered through the engine cover latches, which were energized, one positive and one negative. Don't know if the North American cars had a different system or not, possibly due to some federal regulations/mandates. Would be interested to see what this one sells for.

Over the past year, the average sale price for a Vetroresina was $147K, most recent $185K and the top sale was $235K. My Vetroresina has gone through a very similar restoration process. I have been offered $200K in the past year that I declined. Seems like the price range is appropriate for this one.

Disagree. US wet sump VRs have not seen high prices ever except maybe 4-5 years ago, the first US car was sold in that range. The US VRs when for sale sit for ages with their owners dreaming of euro prices for their cars. This is a $125-150K car IMO. Crappy dry sump VRs are $150 to 175K and up. Again, my opinion based off what I’ve seen.

In my opinion, 308s should be worth more than Dinos.

They just might be one day. Did they make a supercar with Dino lines? Was there a popular TV series?

I'll never forget what a very smart Ferrari historian told me around 2004 when I asked why the 288 wasn't the most valuable Supercar, with just 272 or so produced. He said some people think it looks too much like the 308.

It will have that value when someone decides it does.

Beyond rarity, I don't see the appeal of VRs. If the extreme weight difference were true, that might be worth something, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Personally, I prefer steal to fiberglass anything.

Nice looking car but as you study it closer it has a lot of little details that are off. Motion Products does exceptional work so I can only assume these were variations the customer asked for however I do see a few assembly issues too. I'm sure they are all easy to correct but at this price point it should not happen. It will be interesting to see what the car sells for but as it sits I do not think it would score platinum at an FCA event.

It's a very popular car! Gooding sold it at Amelia in 2023 for 235.2k all-in and RM sold it in Monterey in 2021 for 224k! I inspected it pretty closely at the Gooding sale and was not impressed.

So 147 without premium. How bad could a Motion Priducts restoration be? Seems like a buy without seeing it. The other "reportedly" perfect one was I think over 220.
