I purchased a '13 458 not too long ago and I'm finally getting used to all the extra technology over my 360. I have some questions regarding the last settings when the car was last turned off. On my car, every time I start the car, the radio is on. It's on even if it was off last time I parked the car.
Also, the Gauges on the left are usually set to Water and Oil Temp, and the info on the right is set to navigation. However, when I restart the car, the left screen defaults to the speedometer. Is that how it is, or did I miss a setting that retains last known settings?

Mine are always retained, but don't ask me what I've done to retain it. When a screen page is displayed should remain on display until you select another one.

Mine are retained, but like docf said, no idea how I did that.

I moved the speedo on my 12 458 spider to the left screen. When l start the car the speedo flashes for a second on the right screen and then goes to the left.

So my gauges are on the left screen and the infotainment is on the right.

I’m wondering if the difference is that I have the gps displayed on the right?
Maybe if I put the radio on the right, then the left will stay on the gauges that I last shut the car off with.

Nope, my left display reverts to speedo every time...would love for it to remember my previous setting.

Do you happen to leave the right screen on gps too?
Does the radio keep turning on each time also (even if you pushed the button to turn it off (or should I say pause it)?

No, right side is on my HDD music. I usually leave it on when I turn off my car and the music comes back on when I start my car

Wow. That’s strange. So for some people it holds the temp gauges and for others, it goes back to the speedometer. I have to figure out what the difference is.

    No radio code required.
Also, now that this old thread popped up, I eventually learned how to keep the selected gauges on the left side display, and the speedometer on the right side. If you push and hold the "view" button, it will change to that setting.
