Again there is movement at the Centauria/Hachette Ferrari F1 collection: some shifts, some replacements by cars already released- different livery or driver nobody needs. But nothing dramatic. The only one I´m worried about is the 126C3. I´m hoping for the early version with the aerodinamic side pods. One of the most beautiful F1 Ferrari ever.

Rastar 1/24th release not on the Hachette list. This is a diecast model. I think 1/24th scale will become the most popular large F1 scale due to Hachette and costs. All the pictures I see show a very well painted model. I ordered one to compare. This one may only be available this way.

I have the 1996 F310 and although not the best-looking car, a very good model. Much better than the Studio 27 1/24th resin kit I have. They have thinner wings and finer detail on this model. Only the cut mark on the lower part of the side scoops could have been put in a better location. Rain tires and wheels also better than the 1995 model. I hope the F92 and F93 are this good!!

By the way, the 312B3 looks fantastic. Although a dog, it led to much better things in 1974 :)

Well, the 1/24th Burago P4 is not very good overall. Maybe some of the body will work as the nose looks interesting, but the wheels are wrong.

So, I have 1/24th Burago Ferrari P4, and the wheels+tires go in the parts bin. I kind of wondered from the photo, but the side profile and nose shape are pretty good for #0846. In some ways I like it better than the Fujimi kit.
If you like to bash diecasts, you could make a pretty good 1966 Sebring P3 with this model. With work you could also do an ok 1967 Daytona winner. The 1966 Sebring would be easier due to the covered headlights. Using the USCP 412/330 wheels to replace the way off model's wheels make a huge difference.

The Rastar 1/24th diecast Mclaren MCL36 is like a Burago F1 model, and some of the simpler printed F1 models. It does have good moldings, but all the front wing gaps are closed and the mold lines on the halo are huge. Carbon fiber texture is molded in nicely and the wheels and tires are not bad. Pattos Place does 1/24th decals for this car, so a curbside repaint is possible. 95% tempo printed graphics with a few small stickers. This is not up Hachette by any means, as they use decals and paint to a much higher standard.

Hachette BMW Sauber F1-08 1/24th scale. Rather nice rendition of the 2008 Sauber, as all the Hachette are now pretty consistent. Funny to watch Burago now releasing more 1/24th F1 cars, to a much lower standard than the Hachette models.

Next 1/24th Hachette F1 models in the regular collection. Glad they did a nice BT24, the 1967 World Champion. If Dragoni had not gotten Surtees to leave this could have been a Ferrari WC year!! After 1967 the Ford backed F1 motor showed up to rule F1 for many years.

Or as the Brits like to pretend, the Cosworth showed up to rule F1, but Cosworth had no money. Only an engineering company who did designs for big corporations under contract:)

Well, now up to 220 1/24th F1 models. From Centauria's internal source, the regular Hachette 1/24th F1 collection will reach 120 and the Hachette Ferrari 1/24th F1 series 100!! I think we are going to get a complete set of Drivers Champions in 1/24th scale, only been done before in 1/43rd!!

    Finally, I got mine.
I put it next to my old Jouef Evolution P4 and I'm a little bit confused. It's like two different cars.
Bburago got the shape better. The old one had wrong wrong windshield, wrong wheel arches in front.

On the other hand it had more details and more materials were used. I think they also had the color right.

At first I couldn't see why did @F1tommy said the wheels are wrong, but now it is obvious - Jouef's wheels are more correct.

It's still a Burago, but I am impressed with rivet detail and shape. The windshield is still not 100 correct on either. Also, the Burago has a thick rear-view mirror molded in, so the windshield will have to be replaced with thin clear sheet plastic or vacuformed clear sheet. I have not tested the Fujimi windscreen to see if it fits. Don't forget this is #0846, so it has a lot of differences compared to other P4's.

By the way, the silver 1/24th ISO Grifo is limited to 49!! I do have to measure those wheels and tires.
