The wait can be long, was for me but well worth it:) you are going to love it
I’m at 60 status. Dealer said the factory is closed this month. They said Sept/Oct delivery which will be 3 years since deposit. When should I expect the car, to sell my current exotic. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Any one know how many Spiders will end up being built worldwide? Speculation is fewer than 1500 with all the production delays. I signed my order in February of 2021 and my car just arrived in June 2024. Wait time has been crazy for these.
Finally got here though and it is spectacular Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have heard any numbers but I suspect they are less than originally forecast. My dealer said several people with deposits on the Spiders were told they would not be filled. I assume this was the case at several dealers.
My dealer said MODIS is now back up. Advised I’m at 91(car is in NJ). Hopefully not much more of a wait
It’s interesting to me Ferrari would walk away from those orders. It could represent a significant amount of money they are passing up.
I know for a fact there were cancelled orders. I know a guy that got his order cancelled and deposit returned. I guess you're right make as many as ordered, but if they can't make aynmore?
According to our FNA dealer rep, they are gearing up to get the XX orders completed especially now that US orders have started.
Im second XX slot - as of today, order hasn't been entered, they took one last month, XX will be guessing 2025 fall - almost 3 years maybe. SF90 Spider mine is an AF - heard under 1500 and 1/3 ish were AF 500 or less.
Mine just arrived at the dealer and being prepped it's a 2025, and I waited long time (Nov/21 deposit) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The SF90 has more road presence. And in my opinion, that’s it. 296 GTS is just too good and too close from a performance standpoint to justify the difference in price. All things considered, I’d buy either 296 all day over a SF90 personally experiencing and owning both coupe and spider of both and driving them back to back at Fiorano for Corsa Piloti. I love the SF90’s, I think it’s a phenomenal car, but I personally get the same enjoyment out of driving my 296 GTS that I do driving the SF90 Spider.
that's exactly how I feel, more road presence, more of an occasion, blazing fast and for those >6.1 def comfier but for the price diff and pure enjoyment 296 all the way. I've honestly not enjoyed a more mid engine experience since probably 458? Even pista is tame compared to 296, and my f8 had plenty turbo lag. If we're talking one modern ferrari to keep in garage, 296 would be it. Excited for the VS to come
Certainly don’t want to hijack the thread topic, but just to reply. I’m keeping my Pista all day over any 296 variant to include the VS. The secondary market has clearly shown a soft appetite for the hybrid cars. With that being said, if people would just take the time to drive either an SF90 or even more so a 296 they would be amazed how good they both are as performance cars. I think the simple issues with both vehicles are the SF90 MSRP is at a price point that has been reserved for special series and limited number cars - which the SF90 is not. Some will comment that it does everything so well it doesn’t have the same driving excitement - I don’t know who these people are or how skilled they claim to be but the car feels plenty exciting to me. The 296 issue is simple as well - V6. The Ferrari faithful just has not fully embraced the downsizing to a V6 despite the sound and performance they’ve put in the car. I even think it was a miss with the F80 as cool as that car is. Market seems to care less about all out performance and would rather have the excitement of V12’s and great driver engagement with less tech overrides.
Very informative, thank you! Your SF90 Spider really 'lights up' in the sunshine; which paint color is that?
