He painted the Daytona red and the SA was painted white from Grigio Fumo. The Daytona originally had black interior.
I didn't read the marketing blah, blah, but did it suggest this car having original paint (done at Scaglietti's) or repaint ?
So you are only mildly curious, as you often are, so you want others to read the marketing blah blah for you and report back to you. Read it yourself!
Naah, it doesn’t interest me that much and marketing blah blah is just boring. Besides, if someone gets wound up about something like this, it’s entertaining and worth the effort.
The Light Car Company does great work from what I see online. Glad to see it was a driver orientated restoration.
There are 7 Daytonas up for auction in Monterey next week, 5 coupes and 2 convertibles. Of the coupes, two are red/black, then one each, silver/black, yellow/black and green/tan. One of the red ones has a plexi nose and wire wheels, the silver one also has wire wheels. Two at RM, two at Gooding and one at BroadArrow. I didn't note anything on the open cars since they are way, way, way out of my price range. What is the opinion of the resident experts on the ones being offered?
The green/tan car at Gooding looks like a stunner. The ex-Bill Harrah 365 GTB/4 s/n 13361 is offered by RMSotheby's. This is the 1970 Road & Track cover car. The article featured the famous Dean Batchelor photograph of the speedometer indicating 175mph. https://rmsothebys.com/auctions/mo24/lots/r0117-1970-ferrari-365-gtb4-daytona-berlinetta-by-scaglietti/
the red plexi R & T is perfectly restored. sold for $1m approx in 2015. wonder how many miles were put on it since then.
Here are the links. I miscounted originally and have added Mecum so there are actually 9 Daytonas on offer (5 coupes, 4 spiders) Spider - https://www.goodingco.com/lot/1973-ferrari-365-gts-4-daytona-spider/?filtersInput%5Bmake%5D%5B0%5D=Ferrari&filtersInput%5BauctionType%5D%5B0%5D=Live%20Auction&filtersInput%5BauctionYear%5D%5B0%5D=2024&filtersInput%5BliveAuctionVenue%5D%5B0%5D=Pebble%20Beach&sortBy=ENDING_SOONEST&pageNumber=0 Coupe - https://www.goodingco.com/lot/1972-ferrari-365-gtb-4-daytona-1/?filtersInput%5Bmake%5D%5B0%5D=Ferrari&filtersInput%5BauctionType%5D%5B0%5D=Live%20Auction&filtersInput%5BauctionYear%5D%5B0%5D=2024&filtersInput%5BliveAuctionVenue%5D%5B0%5D=Pebble%20Beach&sortBy=ENDING_SOONEST&pageNumber=0 Coupe - https://www.goodingco.com/lot/1971-ferrari-365-gtb-4-daytona-1a/?filtersInput%5Bmake%5D%5B0%5D=Ferrari&filtersInput%5BauctionType%5D%5B0%5D=Live%20Auction&filtersInput%5BauctionYear%5D%5B0%5D=2024&filtersInput%5BliveAuctionVenue%5D%5B0%5D=Pebble%20Beach&sortBy=ENDING_SOONEST&pageNumber=1 Coupe - https://rmsothebys.com/auctions/mo24/lots/r0053-1973-ferrari-365-gtb4-daytona-berlinetta-by-scaglietti/ Spider - https://rmsothebys.com/auctions/mo24/lots/r0084-1972-ferrari-365-gts4-daytona-spider-by-scaglietti/ Coupe - https://rmsothebys.com/auctions/mo24/lots/r0117-1970-ferrari-365-gtb4-daytona-berlinetta-by-scaglietti/ Spider - https://www.broadarrowauctions.com/vehicles/jc24_r049/1972-ferrari-365-gts-4-daytona-spider Coupe - https://www.broadarrowauctions.com/vehicles/jc24_r124/1972-ferrari-365-gtb-4-daytona Spider - https://www.mecum.com/lots/1125123/1971-ferrari-365-gts-4-daytona-spider/?aa_id=606611-0
some very nice Daytonas. tough choices. regardless of price how would they be ranked based on color etc? rank to coupes and spiders separately. the coupes are in general appear to be in better shape(ie recent restorations)
Well, at least all the Berlinettas appear to have a myriad of common concerns & issues associated with their respective condition & representation. I didn't peruse Spider listings. Bid accordingly.

It looks beautiful in an off color of Ferrari . GLWA
