Hi Guys. my 599 's primary cat has a melt down. and I have contacted Fabio and am considering to install the 6in1 header racer type (hatless). I will keep my stock 2ndary cat and muffler. do you guys think I could get the full v12 potential f1 noise? how about tuning? and car tuner can do it or do I have to look for specific tuner? how bout the fuel consumption?
The cats in the headers are precats and the ones in the main tubes are the primary cats. Fabio's headers would likely work much better using his 200 series cats, but if he can hook them up to your OEM primary cats, the sound should be great.
With Fabio's system I don't think you can keep the stock secondary cat pipes. The system is a completely different design
Am waiting for mine now. 6in1 header race version with 2ndary catless! Shud be able to have it install next month. Cant wait. Fabio is really easy to communicate with. Any tuning advice? Mine is 2007 model.
I had mine ceramic coated after receiving to reduce heat in engine area and under the cabin. But still never installed dealing with some other stuff. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my VOG-L29 using FerrariChat.com mobile app

Talked to Fabio, and ordered his catless headers . I cant wait to have these bad boys put on. He said ill get them by September.
I have the full cat-less system from Fabio with my factory HGTE back boxes. The sound is incredible, but the one aspect I never liked was the very unnatural and stark contrast between the valves closed vs valves open sound. The difference was never really that noticeable with the full OEM exhaust, but now with the valves open, the noise is gloriously deafening. Happily, its a lovely cultured but unobtrusive note with the valves closed. The problem was that I was never really in control of when the full battle cry would kick in. I could have installed an aftermarket valve controller, but this is a messy solution to me, and certainly something to fail in years to come. A better solution for me was to reflash the ecu's with a clever new setup from @360trev that means the valves are always closed in sport mode, and always open in race mode. Now I can control at will whether I want to cruise in peace, or wake the dead in race mode. Many thanks Trev!
Robin, do you have no problems with the police with that loud setup ? In Germany, especially in larger cities, there are special forces "poser", and they confiscate your car when it's too loud or modified too much. Daniel
Nope, no issues with that here, at lease nowhere near I live. I think there are a couple of areas where there are known issues with boy-racers, the police may say they are cracking down, but thats extremely rare. In any case, I can switch to quiet mode now at will, so quite easy to manage. I think Germany has a reputation though of being one of the more restrictive countries for vehicle modifications - you guys have the TUV inspections dont you? So everything you bolt onto the car has to have its own type approval?
Got an update from Fabio. My headers almost done . Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
So my question is what is your set up? 6 to 1 into racing pipes into straight pipes into some kind of muffler? Or 6 to 1 into Fabio racing cats, into straight pipes, into some kind of muffler? After hearing the 6 to 1 into racing pipes it's just too damn loud! It's a true race set up not really great for street use.
Hi yes just put the fab speed pipes. So with Fabios headers all straight piped with the stock mufflers valve opened . All of my cars are loud so I'm used to it and love it as well. Plus being in the state of Nevada in my county there is no emission testing etc.
He get race pipes (pic 3). Even with the cats from Fabio, the car is damned loud with valves open. Daniel
I just picked up my first ferrari just so happens to be a 599. Came with a novitec axle back. Thinking about doing the Fabio headers and custom X pipe by my fabricator. I really love the sound of the valvetronic but not a fan of the quality control issu
