You fit in a 296GTS? I seem to remember you being somewhat tallish.

The last few pages of this thread have been the only OK part. I'll summarize first 50 pages....

296's are depreciating, world is ending! I'm going to wait to buy one until they hit the bottom. Oh no 10 more just listed below 400k! Etc. Etc.

I'm 6-4 and I fit. Just like the 488/F8, it's carbon seats only though.

I’m only 5’11 and I wish I had @ 1” more seat travel. Seemed like the F8 fit better, but then they took some length out of the wheelbase.

    Beautiful!

Modis is being upgraded so dealers can't even log in to find out where parts are, what's the status of builds etc....dealers are all in limbo until its back up which I'm told will be mid August or end of August. It was timed to coincide with the factory shut down.

lol, this is so ridiculous. My car was finished and was supposedly in the process of being loaded for transport in mid-May. My dealer has no clue where it is now because Modis is down.

what's happened that nowadays this threads about value/depreciation became so popular at this board? Ferrari is no more car but became asset? Maybe most of user of this board are now car brokers?

  13. Eh, where have you been for the last 50 years or so?

Ferraris have always been treated as more asset than actual utilitarian driving machine.

Just go and take a peek at the 250 GTO / Vintage board.

I don’t know why you are being negative about these value threads. There are hundreds of other threads on Fchat, if you aren’t interested you can go elsewhere. Ferraris are expensive cars and getting more expensive. A 296gts is more than half a million dollars, or close to a million dollars pre-tax, so buyers (myself included) follow the values with interest. I like discussing the values and the change in values and apparently so do others.

That’s a great platitude, but your unwillingness to avoid speaking out of turn prevents you from thoughtfully contributing to this dialogue.

That’s astonishing. I’m 6’6” 255lbs and my height is balanced between legs and torso. When I sat in a 296 for the first time, I was stunned and knew immediately it would not work for me. It makes my Pista cabin seem downright cavernous by comparison. Worth noting too, that I owned a Performante and an STO for roughly a combined 5 years and those cars are not known for cabin space.

The perf spider lost so much leg room vs coupe. Was a tough fit.

Caddy...How did you fit into a perf????

I sat in a perf coupe a couple months ago and I literally couldn't fit. I'm 6'3 but longer legs. My legs were touching the steering wheel no matter how I maneuvered.

the 296 is smaller, and handles like it is as well. I do prefer the go-kart feel of it vs. the F8, which itself was a wonderfully balanced car.
