Smaller car overall. The 296's wheelbase is 50mm shorter than the F8's wheelbase.

that, and the car itself is smaller than a F8 all around. couple inches shorter as I recall, even after the extra room for all the hybrid stuff. The SF90 is substantially longer.

Not very easily. I do what I do with most cars….slide the seat up a little, increase the recline of the seat (for more headroom), and then position the wheel between my knees. I made it work in the Perf. I drove it to VIR from Charlotte a couple times along with a handful of other short road trips. I truly loved that car. Footnote to the story, I was never able to fit in any of the Aventadors, but I do fit in the new Revuelto, hence why I put my name in for one.

I have a 2015 aventador right now at my house for a month. What a recalcitrant car. Awful to drive in basically every way. Damn does it look good, though! The S and SV are better. Pre SV the gearbox was just awful.

Agree. Drove the basic AV and despised, cancelled order. But then drove the SVJ 63…wow. Night and day like the reviews said. There’s a reason it was the the Ring holder.

    6' 2" , carbon fiber xl seats.

    No issue whatsoever.

Hura perf spyder was an issue.

I wouldn't say it's huge difference the seats are noticeably wider and more comfortable than my 2020 gt500. recaros.

Overall the most perfect fit tbh.

Try a challenge stradale. That’s a heck of a seat if you can fit.

have you ever driven a murci sv? one of the best cars of all time imo, just felt so special

I was actualy personally responsible for a few people buying them because I raved about them so much- not sure what they are trading for now but they still have their cars and will have certainly done well out of them!

Haven’t really seen any pop up anywhere in the market except Chicago but I am certain they are trading in the secondary market.

any idea what the values look like?

Oh I tried an S and was similarly disappointed. Looks and WOT sound were 10/10 but actually driving it was a shock. From the ergonomics to the sluggish Audi pedal response to the heavy-nosed steering to the clunky single clutch, it cannot reasonably be compared to an F12/812 platform.

No, only guesses. Ferrari doesn’t publish actual production numbers.

So I don’t think it can be compared to anything. Which is part of the cars charm. After having the car and driving it quite often the conclusion is the Aventador is a car you hate on a test drive. Loathe after a day. Are intrigued by in a week and appreciate in a month.

It doesn’t flatter you. You have to drive it the way it wants to be driven. Corsa also makes a huge difference for the gear box and little change to the suspension so that’s the mode to be in. Car has to be in manual. Gearbox is significantly quicker when warmed up. It’s quite old school and involving.

I’d probably get an SV if I was to get one simply because I love the way it looks.

I had a Murcielago Roadster before moving on to a first-gen Aventador (LP700-4) so I was prepared for the old-school experience (which is much worse than an S). Few cars under $1M have the road presence of an Aventador. Ultimately got rid of the car because of some reliability issues and because I preferred the driving dynamics of the Huracan (my first experience with Lamborghini ownership). I haven't driven a Revuelto yet, but what I hear is that it's a Lambo V12 that drives like a Huracan. While not as fast as the SF90, the Revuelto is now at least competiive with modern supercars. While a striking and dramatic car, the Aventador definitely feels its age now in terms of performance.

After hearing a Revuelto equipped with a Gintani exhaust, I will definitely be modding the car to let that NA V12 breathe. My build should be finished end of the year. I'm looking forward to the SV and SVJ variants of the Revuelto. They should be quite mad.

Ordered a 296 GTS at list from dealer. Still building it with the wife. Dealer says car is 12 - 16 months away.

$373 and change to be exact. We speced it up to $630. Now we’re backing that down.
$680 is pretty much every box checked, including all CF inside and out.

The color alone that we picked, something close to Ultraviolet (wife has to have input, and I'm ok with the color I think....), was $37K, just for that color, and then the stripes or livery or whatever added to that significantly.
Like I said, "we're backing it down from there".
What's gonna really hurt is trading in the 488 Spyder on it. Don't say it..
