While the car was at the car stereo shop, the installer told me they found a loose hose and sent me these photos. They are in the process of installing the front radar/laser wiring.

Does anyone know what this is? I have an appointment to drop the car to the shop on Wednesday for a full service but I suspect if this is an issue, I should get it towed there unless I can reconnect while they have the covers off before going.

    Thanks in advance!

It doesn’t look like the connection is far. Should be able to find it and clamp it back

I just looked at mine and see no hose like that coming up in to that area at all. Only 2 high pressure AC lines as shown in your pic below that hose. Area then just has elec conceits and wires near by.

Closest idea was the headlight washer but that comes up from under the lower part of the air intake box. I see yours is there so assume it’s connected already.

I have a 2016 if that happens to make any diff.

My guess is it’s the overflow hose for the power steering. I say this because the hose doesn’t look like it was secured at the end, and that type of mount is for mounting to body work rather than clamping onto a pressured hydraulic connection. I would trace the hoses starting from the ps reservoir. It is supposed to be attached under the plastic engine piece that covers the ecu’s close to the top of the driver’s side intake on USA cars. Good luck

Thank you for the responses. It is much appreciated. I need to drop off a part to the shop today and will look at it in person and relay the suggestions.

They've left the car in the shop and haven't moved it. My guess, since I see the unsecured clamp was that it came loose when they took out the plastic covers to run the wiring for the radar/laser.

thanks again all. Sent photo to mechanic I was dropping off to (GTE) and he confirmed it’s a discharge hose

he sent me this photo and following

“It's better if they take the hose off so it doesn't get caught in the fans and you are ok to drive and yes it's an overflows hose mount on the bottom “

Yep, that’s the one I was referencing. Not sure I believe the caught in the fans excuse.
