    Luca was great

    Forghieri was great

Jean Todt was great (ok, he was French)

    Crazy - preventable!

Piastri: Poorly-fitting F1 seat was cause of broken rib
Oscar Piastri has opened up on what caused the broken rib that he was racing with before F1’s summer break

This has progressed faster than I had hoped. Fingers crossed for Lando… Really need Piastri to drop Max back another position. Hope it doesn’t all come down to those 7 points for the position swap!

Will McLaren prioritise Lando Norris over Oscar Piastri? 'Not a good approach,' says team principal Andrea Stella
Andrea Stella says McLaren will not prioritise Lando Norris over Oscar Piastri for now but could "evaluate" down the line; Norris trails Max Verstappen by 70 points after victory in the Netherlands on Sunday

Piastri better become the best wingman in F1 history for the remainder of the season, or he needs to go.

McLaren seem determined to gift the wdc to Verstappen. Seriously, RB must be laughing themselves into a comedic frenzy right now.

Unclear. Seems to me it’s the team that has not committed to a #1 and wingman approach. “Papaya Rules” seems to indicate they’re allowed to race. Just keep it clean, and the driver ahead will get the usual pit stop preference.

…and yet, I’m sure they’re not laughing. Especially not after the scolding from Max on the radio.

Meh- relative dive bomb move. So unexpected Lando didn’t even consider the possibility (not being a bone head), then nearly spun…

Race through the first couple corners, fine. Then, tuck in and get away from field for 5-8 laps, then race all you like. Absolutely selfish and dumb move. 1,2 finish with Piastri second or 2,3 finish with Piastri second. No gain- cost your team and your teammate points. With the added bonus of losing respect.

I was a fan, until today. If I was a team looking for a promising young driver- I would have called Piastri’s agent mid race-“hey, if you need a seat, we want you.” Because, Piastri will be gone if he doesn’t get the memo

Oscar is a better race driver and NOBODY will be calling Webber except to ask how much he wants to drive for them

I think you've been stuck in a dark room too long being fed the Sky F1 team BS

NOR is over-rated, like ALL of the pommy drivers .... and no point mentioning DR, he lost "it" 2 years ago but will be a great NASCAR driver :D

Wow, you don't like team mates racing each other ? It has always been done !!

The best races in F1 were watching Prost-Lauda duels, Prost and Senna fighting, or Piquet and Mansell, and Hamilton against Alonso, or Rosberg against Hamilton, ALL were team mates !!! Ron Dennis, Frank Williams and Toto Wolff let it happen !!!

What F1 don't need are processions organised from the pits with team orders, just to count points !!!

Not at all what I said- I prefer calculated aggression. Risk vs reward. Race hard, just don’t be dumb.

Oscar calculated rather quickly how slow Norris was and moved to pass. That’s as good as it gets in terms of risk mitigation at that point in the race. Executed perfectly and Norris had zero effective response the rest of the race.
Without a doubt Norris worst race of the year. Oscar had presented McLaren an interesting situation. I see Oscar as Sainz racing mind with Charles speed. Oscar also has set the tone in the team now and has stated he sees no reason for team orders yet. Is he wrong- possibly but a clear signal was forcibly broadcast to Norris. He looked dejected post race. Oscar played a major mental card on Norris as well.

Well, we are on the same page then !!

Yesterday Oscar Piastri asserted himself; that's what I saw, and I liked it.

Nothing wrong with Norris, but Oscar may have more determination.

I like the guy, and so far he hasn't put a foot wrong for me.

He is here to win and knows he can. Calculated and aggressive. Still learning but growing fast it appears. Bigger knife next lol?? :)

The Lando - Piastri drama reminds me of Gilles Villeneuve and Didier Pironi and what Gilles wife(Joann) said to Gilles when she met Pironi at Ferrari HQ when they signed Pironi to Ferrari:

"You better watch out for him!" (Boy, was she ever right)

I believe Lando is getting that feeling like Gilles got.

Anyone notice how the Mclaren front wing(top wing element) flexes under load? It's like 90% of the top element of the front wing flexes while the remaining 10%(closest to the nose) stays fixed and that top element "slides" up and down along that fixed 10% part of the wing. It's really an aero achievement...more so that Mercedes and RedBulls front wing flexing under load.
