Okay fuse gurus. After 16 years of ownership, I'm now getting the 4 beeps after I lock the car. The doors and hatches are fine. The radio and mirrors work fine. However, I read somewhere on here that if you have no dome light, the 4 beeps can occur. I have no dome light but cannot locate the fuse. Also, my clock back light works but no numbers. Any clues?

The fuse numbers may vary, but the location remains the same. The "7H" fuseblock is closest to the door.

Power comes straight off the battery, so there may be some small sparks if you don't use the battery cutoff switch.

Since the fuse powers the cigarette lighter, make sure that anything plugged into that is not causing issues.

The only thing I have in the cigarette lighter is a foam earplug (to prevent something metal from dropping in and causing a short).
Here is the culprit, thanks to you.

I replaced the fuse, and my clock started working! And, the 4 beep problem went away. YAY!!
The only thing is, my dome light does not work. I tried pressing the two large buttons next to the light but nothing happens. To be honest, I do not even know what those buttons do. I tried this with the key in the ignition in the run position, the headlights on, etc.

UPDATE: If I press the button (next to the dome light) closest to the front of the car, the dome light does cycle on and off (the smaller light on the passenger side). If I press the other button (towards the rear of the car), nothing happens. I'm assuming that the large center light is supposed to come on when I open either door?
I should really look in the owners manual.

UPDATE #2: I saw what looked like a notch for a screwdriver or other tool on the side of the dome light assembly, so I popped it open and removed the main bulb. It has no continuity. So this all makes sense. All I need to do now is figure out what kind of bulb this is and how to obtain another one. Hopefully I won't have to take out a second mortgage on one of my homes and wait six weeks to get one from Italy LOL.

Possibly, but I've had problems matching these kinds of bulbs before. The length and the girth are important :D I've had bulbs the wrong length and also too fat to go in the holder.

You may have to take your scanning tunneling electron microscope to your local autostore to see if they match.

(EDIT: I see the dimensions of the Hella lamp are included in the advertisement:

    31mm x 10mm)

Note that the dome light button will only turn on the light if the light is off (i.e. when the doors are closed). It won't turn off the light if the doors are open.

Where can I find a "Part Numbers" list of these Relays and especially the Maxi-Fuse 30 Amp fuses that are in the 360 Emergency Repair Kit?

I've use up my Spare Maxi-Fuse 30 Amp (the only one in the emergency kit)... and I need to locate more to replace to get F1 Pump running and the Red Flashing warning light off.

I have found the Maxi Fuse 30 Amp at the NAPA parts store - but I want to be sure that it is SAFE to use.

    Thanks!!

Just buy a quality brand, not those found in "one thousand fuses for $5" boxes. My preference is for fuses with cutouts in the back of them so you can do voltage tests without removing them.

    Parts manual?

Sometimes you have to go to a slightly different version of the car to find what you are looking for (or different website).
